whoever in here says B. Lloyd wasn't consistent, I benched him (&T.O) in favor of Cribbs & Floyd. Terrible mistake. After 4 weeks, Lloyd is still a top 5 receiver. How Cribbs only got 9 yards is beyond me and T.O. going for 221 yards is baffling. I knew he had it in him, but thought it'd never come out.....

And Ryan Matthews was still a bust. (9 for 55? if it wasn't for the 1TD that he scored late) Albeit better than most weeks...

Down by 9 in ESPN league. I've got Brandon Marshall going and he's got Randy Moss going and the Pats coach (+3 for win/-3 for loss). Not starting Orton in this league came back to bite me...I'd be up 5 if I had started him over Flacco.

Up by 7.27 in Yahoo league. My players are done, and he's got Brandon Marshall going.

So both my games will come down to what Brandon Marshall can do. So ideally Marshall would get 7.26 points, the Pats would lose and Moss gets 1 point or less. Seems very unlikely I win in both leagues...and quite possible I lose in both.

How do you not start Orton anymore? Denver's so clearly a passing team and he's proven solid QB.

^ agreed. I originally drafted Kolb and Big Ben as my QB's. Kolb went down and I picked up Vick. 2 weeks ago, I also picked up Orton (not b/c I needed him, but I didnt want anyone else to have him). Now Vick gets hurt, but I've got Orton and Big Ben coming back from injury (while still holding on to Vick).

That's strategy, son.

^^Reason I didn't start Orton was because he was going against Tennessee. I started Flacco for the first time this season (vs Pitt). I was surprised at how well either QB did against Tenn and Pit. I was really expecting to get about 10 points or less from my QB spot regardless of who started...I've learned my lesson and Orton will be starting from here on out. It was really a toss up, and I based my final decision on what ESPN's projections were.

I know this week isn't over yet, but with Seattle's bye week this week I need a new D. Minnesota (was my original D until their bye week), Chicago, Miami, Washington are the best available. Any thoughts?

I picked up Chicago's defense as my bye week replacement for next week. They play the Panthers, so I figure Clausen will be good for a turnover or two. As much as I hate going against the panthers, I guess I can at least profit from their poor play

also, yesterday before the night game, I was up 88-83 with Cutler and Randy Moss left, dude I'm going against had Hakeem Nicks. Seemed like an easy win for me, now I'm down 86-94 and need Randy to put up 80+ yards or score a TD and have 20 yards. Both are doable, but down it shouldnt even be this close. This is a battle between the #1 and #2 teams in the league too.

a special thank you to Santana Moss for racking up FIVE FUCKING YARDS

real quick, if Cutler cant go who would you start next week?

Carson Palmer vs. TB (he's already on my roster as Cutler's bye week/injury replacement)
Shaun Hill vs StL
Sam Bradford @ Det
Kevin Kolb @ SF
David Garrard @ Buf

The game is in Charlotte.

I went ahead and picked up Chi's D. Going against the Panthers it should pay off.

I just want to say (if I haven't said it before) I hate Cutler. I understand his FF value, but he's the biggest baby. If he gets hit too many times or throws too many interceptions, he gives up. He's so weak minded, he's got no mental game. He either plays really well, or he plays terribly. Concussion really? It was barely a knockdown. I think he just didn't want to play anymore. And he'd probably blame the O-line when it was clear he should've gotten rid of the ball sooner in a lot of those scenarios. I'm actually surprised he didn't cry when Rivers yelled at him a couple seasons ago.

agreed, it looked like he totally gave up after about the 5th sack. He knew he needed to get rid of the ball faster, but he continued to hold onto the ball and take sack after sack.

Need a replacement for Vick. Not sure how long he will be out so I listed the next 3 opponents. Please rank the following best available QBs

Freeman (@Cin/NO/StL)
Cassell (@Ind/@Hou/Jac)
Hill (StL/@NYG/BYE)
Gradkowski (SD/@SF/@Den)
Fitzpatrick (Jac/BYE/@Bal)
Kolb (@SF/Atl/@Ten)

If he is only missing a week, go with Hill vs St Louis. Maybe gamble with Fitz vs Jacksonville.

Kolb has been terrible, but they throw SO DAMN MUCH, but he is going against 3 good defenses.

Gradkowski perhaps? San Diego is not the same team on the road.

Freeman's 2nd and 3rd games could be shootouts if its a long term injury.

I see no case for Cassell.

1.Gradkowski
2.Kolb
3.Hill
4.Freeman
5.Fitz
6.Cassell

monday news:
Quote :
"Jerry McDonald of the Oakland Tribune predicts that Darren McFadden (hamstring) will not play in Week 5 against San Diego.
McFadden was seen "moving rather stiffly" in the Raiders' locker room on Monday. "I'm feeling alright," McFadden insisted, while saying nothing else to reporters. McDonald admits he has no inside information on the injury, but suspects that "we won't see" McFadden against the Bolts, "and possibly longer." McFadden's history of recovering slowly from all injuries supports the idea. Michael Bush could be setup for multiple starts"

Quote :
"Bears coach Lovie Smith indicated Monday that Jay Cutler (concussion) is not in danger of missing Week 5.
"He seemed like he’s in pretty good shape right now," said Smith. "There’s no visual signs, that I can tell. He seems like he’s OK today. I’m hoping we have all three guys (quarterbacks) available for practice Wednesday." Backup Todd Collins also suffered a stinger against the Giants, but is expected to be fine to practice. Cutler has an easier matchup at Carolina in Week 5. "

Quote :
"Ahmad Bradshaw was seen in the Giants' locker room Monday "limping badly" after playing through an ankle sprain in Week 4.
Bradshaw was in and out of the lineup in the second half Sunday night. He did close out the contest, but this is a reminder that Bradshaw isn't an especially good bet to hold up for 16 games. He's probably headed for some practice time off this week. The Giants face the run-tough Texans in Week 5"

Quote :
"Reuben Frank of the Burlington County Times reports that the Eagles have inquired about the availability of Marshawn Lynch.
We'd caution that Frank rarely breaks big news, though PhillyBurbs.com (the Burlington County Times' website) is a pretty solid source for most things Eagles-related. Citing a league source, Frank indicates that the Birds called the Bills after learning of LeSean McCoy's fractured rib. Frank characterizes McCoy as "out indefinitely," and Philadelphia is shorthanded at running back without him. Mike Bell, a healthy scratch in Week 4, is next on the depth chart."

see what i'd tell you. he only injured his self-esteem

I would say McCoy is 50/50, sounds like he played the entire 2nd half with the cracked rib, so we'll see. There's not much you can do about a cracked rib except wait for it to heal, it's only a matter of how much pain he can tolerate. I'd be surprised if he sat for more than 1-2 weeks. At least that's me being optimistic.

maaaan, I'm up by 60 points against NyM410 who has Tom Brady, Brandon Marshall and Benjarvus Green-Ellis left. This is gonna be a close one

I also need at least 8 points out of Randy Moss to win in another league.

oh the joys of fantasy football

and, it sounds like Cutler is going to play this week. I just read another report saying he isnt showing any post-concussion symptoms and is going to take all the first team offense reps in practice this week. After that bitch performance last night, I almost want to bench him out of principle. He scored -1.32 points for me, and if Randy Moss doesnt score at least 8 points tonight, he'll be the reason I lose in my matchup against the first place team. I could start Carson Palmer or Sam Bradford in his place, at least I know they wont bitch out of their games
