I guess I'll be a Diamondbacks fan if the Braves totally collapse

Phillies are shitbags; I hate Nyjer Morgan and Prince Fielder as much as boozie, but for totally non-racist reasons; La Russa is a homo; Yankees and Red Sox are Yankees and Red Sox; I can name one person on the Tigers' roster; and Josh Hamilton is not worthy of praise. I guess the Rays are an option if they make it, I just hate to watch games in that boring trashcan of a stadium.

Go kill yourself. Braves lost two nights ago on a 2 out, 2 run 9th inning HR by a guy with 5 HRs after the 3B lost a ball in the shitty lights at the Marlins stadium. That is shitty luck. Watching the Mets bullpen implode two nights in a row with two outs in the bottom of the 7th when you need them to hold a lead is unlucky for the Braves.

You want to talk about injuries? The Braves are running 4 rookies out there to start games. Take your Cardinals "I gave up on my team a month ago, but now I'm the biggest fan in the world" shit back to your lame thread.

^^I've watched more Cardinals games this season than you've probably seen Braves games in your life pal. You're crying and bitching in the football threads so it's not unusual to see it here either.

I cheer/watch/attend for my teams regardless of how bad they are.

[Edited on September 21, 2011 at 10:37 PM. Reason : MLBtv rocks]

[Edited on September 21, 2011 at 10:38 PM. Reason : but nice try....get on TOB some more since we have tons of defense injuries]

TWW's Braves threads are awesome because they're the one place in ST without a bunch of goofballs fucking everything up

...then boozie joined the conversation

I'm sorry but there is nothing lucky about the Cardinals raping people like they are. Carry on. I'll leave you guys be.

Well the braves have won every game I've been to this year. Hope it won't change when I go to washington for the series this weekend.

the Cubs scare the hell out of me

I think they might win that series and we'll probably miss the wild card because of those assholes

LOL. I'll bitch when there is reason to bitch. TOB sucks at recruiting and most of the faggots like you on here fail to recognize it, but that is not the point of this thread. As for the Cards, yeah they are playing great, but claiming you are somehow a bigger fan is lame as fuck. Good luck proving that.

http://aol.sportingnews.com/mlb/story/2011-09-22/former-braves-pitching-coach-leo-mazzone-accuses-john-smoltz-of-cheating
Quote :
"Former Braves pitching coach Leo Mazzone accuses John Smoltz of cheating

During Leo Mazzone's tenure as Atlanta Braves pitching coach, he schooled the terrific trio of John Smoltz, Greg Maddux and Tom Glavine. And he might have done a bit more.

In an interview with SiriusXM radio, Mazzone revealed Smoltz used pine tar to doctor baseballs when he pitched.

Said Mazzone: "One time Smoltzy had it on his shoes and I said, 'John, you can't keep bending over and touching your shoes all the time. Let's put it someplace else!' "

During his 21-season major league career, Smoltz was 213-145 with 3.33 ERA and 154 saves. Twenty of those seasons were spent with the Braves, with whom he won the 1996 NL Cy Young award. In that season, Smoltz led the NL in wins (24), strikeouts (276) and innings pitched (253 2/3) while posting a 2.94 ERA.

Mazzone didn't mention any other Braves pitchers by name, but hinted that the cheating wasn't an isolated event.

"I know that in my little ball bag I had firm grip and all kinds of goodies to take care of a baseball to get a little more movement on it," Mazzone told SiruisXM.

Mazzone was the team's pitching coach from 1990 to 2005."

Well since the Mets can't beat the Braves, they figured the next best thing was to just screw the Braves.

Blowing a 6-2 lead in the 9th? Of course it will. Good luck to you guys. We're probably done after that shit.

^ You cannot really believe that. Cards still have the Cubs and Astros. They go 5-1, Braves are playing the Nats whom that absolutely cannot beat and the Phillies. Braves will be lucky to go 3-3 in these games.

Pretty exciting series for the Mets and Cards though.

Double Post.

Braves get Strasburg tonight. Fucking great

Hopefully Huddy will come out and match him inning for inning until the Nats pull Strasburg on pitch count.

I know Minor, Beachy, (and especially) Teheran and Delgado are young, but have any of them made it into the sixth inning even once? This shit is killing the bullpen. Chirtsain Matriznez is a season-saver.

^ that's as much on fredi gonzalez as it is the young pitchers, probably more. Yeah they are probably on a pitch count and they're not lights out all the time, but fredi needs to trust them more to get out of tough innings to save his bullpen. He's made very questionable calls throughout the season

Phillies are throwing Lee tonight, Oswalt tomorrow, and probably Kendrick on Wednesday though it is supposed to be Hamels. I was hoping they'd skip Lee

Oh well get rid of April and September and the Braves had a bang up season. Fire Parrish?
