my first drive, where i had a 4th and 4 on your 41, lasted about 3 minutes...i guess 3 minutes is nowhere near 10% of a 20 minute game...let alone the various rushes by you where i made stops after 1-2 yard gains are clearly you outplaying me

my only gripes with your play were not kneeling up 27-0 with < 1 min in the 4th (epitome of bush league) and how somehow your QB option was able to fly around the edge in less than 1 second for an easy gain

everything else you did was gameplannable, and i give you props for it...you ran all over me and i'll have to adjust my defensive schemes for that

just dont confuse knowing the nuances of NCAA 12 with having superior football knowledge to everyone else

quick ranked matches are hit or miss, but i've had quality opponents more often than not

quality = punting on 4th down, not dropping back 20 steps on every play, etc

No clue what that means

Tried to get in a game forever last night, but dudes were just non-responsive at the team select screen. Started a game against Auburn, guy scrambled every play, dropped back 20 yards, went for it on 4th and 39 from his own 12 on the first drive and quit when I scored on the next play.

Next game was VT, traded a couple punts back and fourth before his punt that went out at the ~20 gave me first and 30 from the 1. Don't know what that was all about, but I'm convinced he hacked the mainframe so I quit out.

Just played my first full game against ND. Guy took the first 9 (nine) minutes to score on the opening drive. I got up by a TD and he started throwing 50-yard rainbows. Won 28-14 but it was the most boring game ever.

E Man is a total horse fucker, but at least he provides entertaining opposition.

The most frustrating game I played online was fairly competitive and fun from an offensive and defensive perspective

but every time he kicked off, he came out in a regular kick formation (not onsides), but somehow kicked it like 15 yards right to the sideline where somehow one of his gunners was always able to recover it like an onside

and yeah Slave Famous and iceman72 please find a time to get your game in in the next 24 hours. Florida and NC State have CPU games to get, but hopefully we can advance tomorrow evening/night

Coverage is pretty hard this year. I had a QB/SS and I'm a 5 star QB and just got my 2nd star as a SS...I cheated a bit and started playing up closer to the line to get my tackles up, but Im pretty sure all the deep TDs are my fault.

Today I was playing a guy ECU vs Michigan. I was 11-12 for 120 yards and 2 TDs, and was driving for my 3rd TD and he quit on me in the 1st qtr. :\

even if you stick to your assignments you can get burnt...i was assigned as my corner to play a deep zone...ran step for step with the wideout until i got to my zone area, and then kinda stopped like an idiot...TD over my head...you definitely have to be flexible in your decisions...but not too flexible where you bite on play action or chase a receiver an extra 5 yards while playing short zone, when if you had played short zone you'd have a chance of pick-6ing the RB flat pass

definitely a learning experience, and overall i enjoy the challenge

you just have to resist the urge to blitz sometimes when the play looks like a run and the coach has you dropping back 30 yards

my corner Frank Drebin in the 2nd game of the HS playoffs is either a 4/5 star WR but i think a 2/3 star CB

i'm from LA though and have an offer from Stanford, might go there as wideout to have Luck throwing me pinpoint passes...but i might also create 2 separate saves, one for WR and one for CB...just make sure you create a separate save prior to finishing your high school career

also on man coverage routes, i line up a little inside my receiver so its easier not to get beat on slants, but you can still sprint backwards if they go deep

but overall i think the key when playing CB is to not pay the QB any mind on 3+ wideout sets, just worry about your assignment and any other receivers that might get near your vicinity...only look at the QB if you see some motion and expect a run or option to the outside

also if you're one of three coverage guys on an all out blitz so you want to definitely cover your assignment since 8/11 are blitzing, be aware of the potential outside run or toss, cause you could get a nice TFL if you time it

also dont be tempted to blitz if the other team has it on their own 6 with 1st and 10 and you're supposed to play deep zone...just got burnt for a 94 yard score

What's a good defense to stop double slants over the middle? Played a guy last night who ran three plays all game, a read option up the middle, the slants, and some deep post to the sideline, all from the same set. If I went man on the slants, there would always be a corner behind the slot or flanker, and a linebacker or safety playing a medium zone didn't do anything. If I played all zone, he could check down to his fullback for 8 yards. I like that play on third and medium, but it's never a sure thing. This dude was unstoppable, though.

i used to only play 3-3-5 but this year it is SHITTY for me. I think it might be because you need three really dominant linebackers to play it well or you'll get ran over. said linebackers need to also bee good at zcv and mcv. if you pick a defense where the ss are the deep safeties they will never get deep early enough unless you play okie, which sucks against the run. if you only play with your fs deep then your corners are on islands.

get the mlb spy in your man defense and just play the middle of the field like i did when you got pissed i was dropping him back.

Even if you don't, stop jamming and your corners should stay close enough to where you can switch to them and swat the ball away at the last second on a slant.

One of my scores was total bullshit, one of those option pitches where the QB throws it when his knee is inches from the ground. I may have scored anyway, I may not have, but would have preferred it to be more legit, especially in such a close game.
