Action movies got killed for me too. I can't even watch Rocky now, Stallone and Weathers aren't even actually hitting one another. The bruises? They're all makeup.


Sami Zayn wrestled John Cena on Raw last night in his hometown of Montreal. Came out and swung his arm in his entrance to pump up the crowd and it actually came out of the socket. Ref put up the X sign, doctor put it back in the socket, and Zayn wrestled a 10-minute match.

Even though I find it strange that people take the time to watch pro wrestling I will say the video games are still fun. I plugged in my old SNES and have been playing Wrestlemania the Arcade Game the past few days.

Okay, so just today:

-Destination America it broke last week will stop airing/not renew/cancel TNA come September. Meanwhile, TNA Impact got moved to 9pm Wednesdays. TODAY, Destination America announce they will air Ring of Honor Wrestling at 8pm Wednesdays beginning in June.

-Lucha Underground, which is the only wrestling I regularly watch at the moment, has been renewed for a second season and has signed a contract with Univision, solidifying their future.

^ Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez said yesterday it was a syndication agreement. So Sinclair still owns ROH and the show will air first on Sinclair affiliates (there's one in Raleigh that ROH currently airs on), that episode will then be broadcast the following Wednesday on Destination America. ROH made a similar syndication agreement with NESN.

For Destination America, they like the ratings they're getting with TNA, it's just TNA costs too much versus what they're getting in advertising, and Ring of Honor is much cheaper than TNA. It's a win-win for ROH, they're getting more income to produce the same content they do now, and getting on Destination America gets them in markets where there is no Sinclair TV network, important ones such as New York and Chicago where they currently don't get ROH on television but there are a lot of ROH live events.

TNA in contrast are screwed. There's a rumor out there that Dixie Carter called the president of Destination America an idiot in an email and accidentally forwarded it on to him. No one can confirm the rumor, but stuff like this happens...

So Wednesdays will have nationally broadcast at least for 3 months NXT, ROH, TNA, and Lucha Underground. THE WEDNESDAY NIGHT WARS!

It's funny actually, some former TNA guys that were pretty good but TNA did little with will now be the lead-in to and eventually replace Impact.

And ROH starts before TNA...next week! Sucks for the good people in the ring and behind the scenes at TNA, but a lot of people are responsible for where they are now.

^^ makes more sense if its syndication. I get ROH here in Charleston on the My Network TV channel, so I'll still be able to watch it at least (since, unless its buried in my package somewhere, I don't get D America)

right now NXT is the best show on, I haven't watched RAW in months (and Smackdown hasn't been any good since Edge retired). you're right about TNA, they made their bed and now they can get sent to the landfill with it. Dixie Carter is a moran.

When I lived in Rocky Mount I got the Raleigh channels so I normally watched ROH weekly. Since I moved to Indiana Sinclair doesn't have anything here, so stuff like this is for me, although you can watch it on their website, I just haven't been. I do get Destination America because I watched the first Impact on it for about 30 minutes and then gave up when I realized they changed nothing.

I hear lots of good stuff about NXT, Triple H is in control of it and trying to make it the "super cool indy" a la ECW and ROH to an extent from the past. It's also a way of him doing booking waiting for Vince to retire or die (which is the exact same thing Shane McMahon wanted to do when WWE restarted ECW with him in control, but that got nixed). At this point though, all the stars of NXT are guys that "learned" somewhere else, WWE have not created anyone on their own there.

Side note: this basically goes without saying, but the wisdom of Lucha Underground's decision to hire an actual actor for their authority figure can't be overstated. Yes, the booking is great and it's a fun character regardless, but it would've been so easy to hire a wrestling guy who couldn't quite nail the tone.

Only problem for me during the Owens match was hearing Cena call so much of it, but I think that was just bad mic levels because you could hear a lot in every match.

I had some folks in from out of town so I didn't start the show until 10:30 or so; that IC Chamber match was so boring I almost fell asleep. Kudos to Bryan for ribbing his old roommate by saying "The Ryback" on TV, though.

Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks, and Charlotte officially debuted on Raw tonight, and even though it made next to no sense (Steph was a face?), it was amazing.

Yes, Charlotte had a three minute Raw match with Nattie last year, but that doesn't count.

So psyched to see some of the best wrestlers in the company tear it up on the big stage.

Holder of the video probably tried to blackmail Hogan and Hogan refused to pay. So if he instead sold it to Gawker, who Hogan is currently suing...

The out here could be Hogan drops his lawsuit in exchange for video never being released if Gawker are the ones that have it.
