Good luck on your test results. Hopefully it'll be neither!

cetaphil gentle face wash is really awesome, I've been using it every night, no problems.

is your face still burning?

I go back for testing in a month, lol. More timez to worry! It's funny. I never noticed these white spots, except for maybe one or two. Now I see them every where! I also just thought my face was naturally rosy, but apparently it is one of the many symptoms I have that could point to lupus. There are way more that I dont have, so Im being optimistic. Vitiligo, however, is highly likely.

Minka, it is, and I havent been washing it at all or putting anything, makeup or moisturizer on it. Kind of sucks. Havent bought the cetaphil yet. Forgot to look at harris teeter while I was picking up my cream for my spots.

my endocrinologist thought i had lupus when we first started all my testing shenanigans. apparently when i opened up my eyes, you could see the white above my eyeball which you shouldn't unless you have lupus

yeah, i'm a one off.

i'm keeping my fingers crossed you don't have lupus

never heard of that before, I'll have to check out my mom's eyes when I see her next. She has systemic lupus though, not the skin version

They totally mentioned it, but I gave up on buying one and just went without. I already had a derm appointment to map my back because of all the freckles, so I figured I would ask then.

Another thing that you would or could notice with vitiligo is loss of pigment in your hair, or if you cut yourself, if the "scar" is really loss of pigment. My husband has it, but it's not noticeable on him (it was as a kid, not so much now). The only thing he really pays attention to is putting on sunscreen and being careful not to get scars.

Ive been getting grey hair since i was sixteen, the same time i noticed the first spot. That is one sign, and anywhere I get cut or hurt definitely turns white.

so... I'm still lost on which shoes to get.

@Diva, I know you liked the nine west ones best, and I liked the Orra from them a whole bunch, but the other two bridesmaids are wearing more of a light silver (almost white IMO) strappy-sandal sort of shoe, and I'm thinking the nine west shoes are too dark. Do you think this shoe would look ridiculous?

The dress:

I like the security of an ankle strap

and its so thin and such a light color it probably won't cut you off visually

but I also like the shoe so go for it

yay! thanks y'all

I bought those shoes, as well as a pair of Lulu Townsend ones that I like less, but just in case the ones I posted above don't fit, I know they will work as a replacement.

@ Cass, I have to wear silver, but as I have learned, silver is a vague term when it comes to shoes. I've been "researching" which ones to wear for a couple months, this being my most recent collection of data: http://web.me.com/aea2/Site/misc_files/Shoes.pdf

@ Diva - I'll probably take a picture of me in them and the dress when they arrive so you can tell me for sure if they do or do not cut me off.

This all reminds me... I have yet to take the dress to the tailor. I gotsta get on that

Poop. I need new books to read. I haven't read anything in a long time. I do still have The Help somewhere around here. I have yet to actually purchase a book on my nook, and I need to go get a Wake County library card and pin to use e-pub.

Ugh, having a scary moment.... I went for my annual last week and they made a huge point to tell me that no news is good news. When I checked my voicemail from yesterday afternoon this morning, I had a message asking me to call asap. Boyfriend thinks I'm being a hypochondriac, but it is not going to be a good thirty minutes waiting for the office to open. :-(

I went to Planned Parenthood since I'm broke with no insurance, which makes it even worse/scarier. It's been three years since one at my regular gyn and the only reason I went was to reup birth control. I've never had an unusual pap or ANY issues so maybe its a fluke. ugh.

speaking of, should we check up on the girls who hadn't yet been to the obgyn (or it had been years) a while ago?

accountability could save lives, imo.

There were some who hadn't been in 3+ years, and some who had never been. I hope they've all gone by now, and found good doctors to work with.

I went over 3 years between gyno visits, hopefully won't have to do it again. Had a mole removed from the lady parts recently and it was normal so good news for a change.

i didn't go yet, but am looking into it now. how much is planned parenthood again? might be easier to hit that up when i come back to raleigh. I assume it will be less than my old gyno's fees without insurance...
