As soon as a show says "you'll never guess..." everyone starts guessing, making the "surprise" much less of a surprise. Add in the lack of characters introduced so far that could be Claire's real dad, and it makes the surprise that much more meh. Still wondering wtf is up with Niki/Jessica...now Niki is trapped in a mirror? It seems, at this point, that they are truely two sepparate entities, fighting for control of one body, and the only power that seems to be specific to one of them is Jessica's super strength. Hopefully now that they are sepparated, more will be revealed. Good episode overall though, things are starting to come together.

^^ if you're going to find the quote from the episode where he goes says "i'm going critical" or something very similar before invisible guy knocks him out, remember peter doesn't know that there is a guy out there who can make radioactive explosions. so naturally he doesn't realize he can't explode until he meets and absorbs that guys powers.

Yes I know they've shown Peter saying that he absorbed "his" power (Theodore Sprague we assume) and he can't control it.

Why would they build this stuff up though if it's just about Sprague? I'd say Peter woulda blown up as opposed to go into a coma if the invisible man hadn't knocked him out.

Maybe this week's graphic novel sheds some light, I'll investigate.

^^ i'm pretty sure the rays coming from the taxi were supposed to give the allusion of movement towards the taxi. like the movement of a peter falling towards its roof.

^ i didn't say that peter wasn't a danger w/o sprague's powers. but he's only going to destroy the entire city after he gets those particular powers.

It doesn't matter... theres no way Peter is going to live through much more of this show unless there is a flaw in his absorbing of powers (other then the obvious one, but its seeming as if hes starting to control it). They would not make a hero be that powerful, I'm guessing that after the explosion has been stopped either Peter is going to die or he is going to disappear for a while, and become a guest on the show who shows up when the shit hits the fan. They already showed they dont want anyone to be too powerful with Hiro, not letting him change the past, they wouldn't let Peter be a super superhero who can control any power hes come in contact with at will.

How did Nathan come back to life when he was stuck though the chest? I remember Claire being stuck in the head and she couldnt come back to life until the root was removed.

Also, if I remember correctly, didnt Sylar get Claires name off of the list he stole? If he did, how was Claire on the list in the first place? Assuming that Suresh didnt know Peter was the father, the mutant trait must be carried by the mother......

there is absolutely no way that Suresh could have known Patrelli was Claires father. Therefore, he tracked Claire from her mother. Actually, I remember it now..Sylar found Claire when she saved those people, not from the list. Thats why he killed the other girl. My theory is debunked.

dispite the name screw up I think that ussjbroli is right. Issac thought that he needed the drugs to paint the future, that was all in his head, Peter can still do all the things the people he's met can do he just has to remember the way they make him feel. Hiro feels like he let Charlie down, and he will have to get over that before he gets his mojo back

What was Claire's mom going to say when she was talking to Sylar and she said "it's so weird you all call him Mr Bennet, i've always known him as..."?

On Bennet's ID they showed, it also only had his last name, and the signature was only of his last name, are they hiding anything?

And did Sylar take Eden's powers? It seemed odd he was in the Bennet's house and was like " hey I broke in to your house and have your dog, and i'm really creepy, can I stay?" and the mom was "yeah, you're so nice!" Or is Claire's mom really a complete imbecile (she's a minor character, and this is pretty much how they paint her).

And I also agree that Hiro's issue is mostly mental, but the sword did have that marking on it, which is really suspicious. My theory about that is that Hiro somehow carved that on it in the past, or something we don't know about is responsible for the symbol.

I think Sylar is going to have his memory wiped so that he doesn't remember his abilities or about Suresh or the special people.

Then he'll go away for a while, and a season or two later come back with his memory restored.

so what are the predictions on Linderman? he seems pretty central to this whole story. i doubt hes just some rich guy who is mentioned every now and then as a tangential character.

is he working with bennett...are they somehow the good ones?

is he the bad guy who wants to destroy shit? surely there must be some other source of evil than this sylar kid. if it turns out linderman is bad i bet nathan is bad too. thats just a wild guess...and my last one of linderman being claires dad was wrong so who knows.

I don't think there is any specific bad guy who wants to destroy shit, I think the destroying (as far as the nuke) is more of just an accident, and Peter needs to control his powers to stop it from happening, then set himself up to take down Sylar next season. Several factions are starting to form though - I think theres going to be a group led by Bennett who either agree with him or who are allied with him for other reasons (Suresh, Isaac, Nathan, Claire, Haitian, etc) against an anti-Bennett group (Claude, Peter, Matt, Radioactive man, Hana).

Also as far as Hiro goes, it definitely is all mental, he just believes the sword will help him, I think hes going to realize that right before he gets the sword, but hes going to get it anyways. Also - I dont think this was talked about yet... it's been shown powers run in the family, do you think either Hiro's dad has powers, or his mom? Also what about his sister?


^ Oh and as far as Linderman goes, I think he definitely is evil, I think Bennett is going to be working for him but will break away from him (probably after something endangering Claire), I think this season will end with Linderman getting involved but he will be out of the big picture a few episodes into next season.

Wow that's long. Sylar didn't get Eden's power, (no s) she killed her self. I think that Sylar's original power (seeing how people tick) just let him know how much she loves that dog so he played that angle. Though she did kind of seem concerned she is dumb adn spacy as hell, but lord knows how having your mind wiped so many times has effected her.
