^^^i was saying earlier, if you go out with someone they like you by about 6-10% more than before

if you tell them you're busy, they dislike you by about 1% less than before

its easy to make up percentages

^one of them allows you to restore some health, one of them allows you to lose a low (1 or 2 star) wanted level...cant remember if there are others

^yeah but if you're inside a building or on a rooftop (or at your safehouse) and arent in position to just drive out of the circle, it can come in handy...i've only used it a few times but its better than nothing

it doesnt work with a really high wanted level though

I hate motorcycle chases.

I think it's scripted as to when you can damage them and when they are invincible, because I can pump 100's of SMG rounds into them and they won't die. I just wish it would let me know when I can start shooting them so I won't waste all my ammo.

yeah, you can call him and he'll land a chopper nearby...has a set number of places he'll drop you off (i don't think you can assign waypoints)

it takes longer than a taxi and isn't as convenient...i usually use it only to get to the statue of happiness


i found a cool car - the Sultan RS...it's a rally car-looking thing (internal roll cage) that has good speed and handling. it's in Westdyke (northern end of the 3rd main island). when you look at the minimap, you'll see a 3-pronged driveway...go down the middle one and you'll come to a decrepit mansion with a big garage outside...behind the garage in the bushes is the car

i just finished up one of the endings today...i'm interested to see if you get anything for stealing all the cars for stevie...i'm over a dozen down so far

Ok, I just turned it on and it says it needs to install an update but when it tries to my PS3 reboots every time. But when I choose to not install it, it goes to the game like nothing is wrong. Anyone else had this problem?

i havent really had any issues but i've made sure to shoot the driver/rider and havent worried about the bike itself...as long as you can keep the bike close, it shouldnt be too hard to knock somebody off...at least on the missions i've played

once you do that you can play music from ur comp on ur xbox and starting gta iv won't stop it, and it wont play the radio when ur in the car either so u can cruise to ur own beats

I found a glitch when I knocked over a fire hydrant and walked on top of it. I fell through it and then disappeared. Haven't tried it again though.

."gta race" is the most fun/hilarious shit i've ever played

i probably spent over an hour last night just setting up roadblocks to piss off other people that were trying to actually race

racing itself is pretty fun as well trying to avoid other people's shenanigans

^^^i found a glitch a while ago where i fell off a dock and got stuck under it between the docks and one of the dock posts. I had a 6 star rating too so the cops were all around me but couldn't see me and when i'd move slightly they'd see me and start shooting but couldn't hit me.

anybody tried to fly a helicopter inside one of the power plant steam stacks in new jersey? i had a couple of dwayne's boys with me and lined it up and took it all the way down to the floor, but there was some kind of odd shaped grate, and the helicopter ended up trapping dwayne's boys...then for no apparent reason Niko told them it was fun but time for them to go home or whatever...but as i was leaving the helicopter exploded and i died

if you do walk up to the statue and try to go inside one of the doors it will change your outfit to a statue of happiness t-shirt.

If you just walk up the steps, you can't get in. You have to fly up to the level above that (just below the statue's feet), then there's a door that you can walk right through.

^^yeah the tourist outfit...its sitting outside one of the doors on the ground...pick it up and you'll change into the outfit and it will be available in your closet of your safehouse from now on...if you want to look like a tourist

i just finished delivering cars for stevie...there were 30 in all...now you can use the garage to get money for any vehicle you drive in there any time you want. so save up at the safehouse there in Bohan, then jack all the cars you want for $$$

Cool I guess but money doesn't really seem to be something that you need a lot of in this game

I mean I just robbed the bank with Packie and I'm sitting on 300 g's

and all I really ever spend money on is food, clothes, cabs and whenever I die

so I can't really see myself needing more money



And another thing...the whole intricate subway system seems like kind of a waste IMO

I never use it to travel and I've only been in there on a couple of missions

I can't see anyone traveling by train when its so easy to get a cab or just drive yourself

^^i flew a helicopter close and jumped off almost at the top level of the ESB...but when i took my running jump to plunge down to my bloody death in the streets below, i did kind of a slinky type move where i hit a couple different ESB levels while i fell, and i ended up dying on the bottom level, still dozens of stories above Liberty

the last 20 minutes or so me and my buddy have just been flying the chopper up to different buildings and jumping off...its surprisingly entertaining, especially when you bounce down off multiple objects and bridges
