i'm not trolling or anything
but after you guys download some of these albums, and you like it, do you go out and purchase an actual copy? 9/7/2008 4:36:15 PM |

mostly, I have a pretty large music collection and attend a lot of concerts.
An example: I haven't purchased any Bishop Allen music but I've seen them three times live. It doesn't truly make up for what I've downloaded but it is a start. 9/7/2008 5:21:24 PM |
vinylbandit All American 48079 Posts user info edit post |
I usually end up grabbing it on vinyl, because most of the shit that shows up on bolachas, etc., is stuff that's best listened to in album form, and I find that at home I'm more likely to sit down and really listen to something if I have to get up, put it on the player, and flip it over. 9/7/2008 5:39:03 PM |
Kodiak All American 7067 Posts user info edit post |
Yeah, I tend to buy stuff on vinyl if I really love it. If I bought a CD, I'd just rip it to my hard drive and never touch it again. 9/7/2008 5:44:58 PM |

cuz money is limited, i will usually only buy albums on vinyl that i think i'll want to listen to in 5 years
sometimes the selection process is difficult 9/7/2008 5:48:21 PM |

I guess I'll be the first to say I usually dont buy the album after Ive downloaded it. There are a few exceptions but for the most part Im content with the digital copy that I find. 9/7/2008 5:52:45 PM |

This is a pretty lame excuse, but I also used to write reviews for a non-defunct online mag and I got used to getting free records.

On further listen, this album is fanfuckingtastic. DLZ is such a good song. I cant stop listening to it. This should definately be a candidate for album of the year. 9/8/2008 8:07:58 PM |

It's funny, back when I was poor as shit an in college, I bought actual CDs all the time.
Nowadays, like most people have said, I support the bands I love by attending their shows and purchasing vinyl (when it's available) direct from the band.9/10/2008 8:03:24 AM |
