I agree, all this speculation is just going to build up everyone's hopes up so high that they are inevitably let down by anyone we get. Someone said earlier that if we wound up getting Gregg Marshall or Shaka Smart they would already be in a hole just because they arent Barnes, Miller, Dixon, Donovan, etc

Smart has won one game in the tournament, finished fifth and fourth in the Colonial in his two seasons, all with a team stacked with Anthony Grant's upperclassmen. VCU's offense is worse than it was under Grant and their defense is much worse.

Why wouldn't it be 11 million? Does the contract not cut both ways? If Miller wanted out of his contract early, would he not have to pay some penalty to Arizona, and wouldn't NCSU have to foot the bill for that in order to get him to come?

His buyout isn't going to be that much in the grand scheme of NCAA basketball. The best indicator is his annual salary, and that's really not much. I think it's around what we were paying Sidney. If we're talking about throwing $3 million at a coach, Stevens' buyout is a non issue.
