I played a dynasty a few years ago as Rice. Nick Fanuzzi was the most frustrating QB I've ever dealt with. He'd inexplicably throw at least two balls a game at least 10 yards away from his target, usually resulting in INTs instead of wide-open completions.

I haven't played it since 2008 I don't think.. but I kinda want to try the new one out. Maybe I'll grab it when the price gets reduced.

Wow that is a weird thing to see. I played baseball with that kid his freshmen year of HS when I was a senior. He was an absolute beast as a freshmen in both football and baseball...didn't quite turn out as good as people had hoped though. Definitely didn't expect to see that name when I opened this thread haha.

sort of... they are giving up yards, tons of yards, but they are also making a lot of big plays at important times... the LSU way. They definitely arent conservative.

Except they are breaking. Only reason they are winning is special teams.

Where is the Alabama game? If it's in Tuscaloosa I don't know that it'll be that close.

WVU has a damn good offense though. They have some speedy guys. The only reason we beat them in the bowl was special teams and random bad plays by their QBs

and Nate Irving as well.

LSUs defense is all over the WRs though.

they arent really bend but dont break, they are big plays, on each side... still a good defense though, just different. Complete opposite of Bama which tries not to give up a single inch to the offense.

Like there, good coverage on the WR, but single coverage, you do that a lot and eventually the other team will bust a long one... BUT, you will also get an INT probably at some point because the CB is just as good as the WR if not better

and what they did to Oregon... I would take their D over just about anyone outside of Bama

I honestly didn't see the Oregon game, but didn't LaMichael James miss most, if not all of the second half?

a fair amount, but holding that offense to 27 is always an accomplishment, and I think one of those scores was a late one once the game was over

Oregons offense is such a gimmick to me. its all about tempo and it was obvious when they shut them down running in the championship game as well as the game against LSU.

yeah, I was at the Tennessee/Oregon gam last year and the pace was just insane. UT just didnt have the depth at all. They held them close for a long time, was tied until right before halftime. Dooley had them prepared great, but just couldnt keep up personnel wise and it turned into a slaughter

I guess his assumption is that we just do squeak into bowl eligibility and get picked for the Belk(aka tire) bowl over some teams with better records.

This team can still recover. We have three winnable FBS games even in our current state of shittiness. And if we start getting back some of these damned injured defensive players then maybe we can steal a game or two from the ones that look like guaranteed losses right now.

[Edited on September 27, 2011 at 8:47 PM. Reason : pretty sure we'd need two]

any point in reiterating that we've been missing 2 of our starting d-line seniors (and captain)? and a 2nd stinger? and a starting o-liner? and possibly our best linebacker? and a 2nd string lber? and our starting running back? and a starter on the o-line? i know it's an excuse, but it's a decent excuse i have to imagine our defense wouldn't look quite as shitty if we had most of those guys healthy. blahblahblah

^you obviously haven't attained your sharp football acumen on EA's NCAA Football game, where you can just plug in a true freshman (or a fucking walk-on) onto the DL and still compete.

it was to no-ones in particulars. mostly just to the people who say, "it's the coaches job to recruit depth," "fire the strength and conditioning coach," "we run the same type of scheme always," "five years is enough time to get this program on track," "our recruiting sucks," "we used to be a decent team with chuck," "o'brien should have 8 senior DT's just in case and still have enough DT's in the wings to bring up," "o'brien is boring and has a tiny pecker," rawrrr rawwrr rawrrr.
