I believe it. He was around 200 when he was in high school and he's bulked up quite a bit. He's 6'6".

Yeah .... that would make him bigger than Rivers, which completely fails the eye test. I'll believe 220-225, but no way he's north of 230.

despite the fact that he looks like a toothpick in uniform glennon seems pretty wiry-strong in person. and this was 2 years ago

tony pike was 225 at the combine and glennon is no skinnier than him

CJ Wilson didn't even make the depth chart. We're going to win every game.

Freshman on the 2-deep at LT was a little surprising, but hopefully a good sign for our OL going forward. Still not sure about our LBs, but in Tenuta we trust, haha.

damn, he must have fucked up bad to not even make the depth chart. I think getting beat out by Jordan Monk, a guy who left the team in 2011 and just came back, is embarrassing. I'm sure the coaches have him pegged behind Johnson and Byrd at boundary, but still..

TOB said CJ Wilson not being on the depth chart is due to the NCAA looking into an eligibility issue.

meanwhile, in Chapel Hill, they have scores of fake classes into which athletes are steered where the "students" do no work and have no teacher. These classes are used to maintain the athletes eligibility, but the NCAA couldn't give a rat's ass about it.

dude, we all don't like unc, but you don't have to mention them every single time the ncaa is mentioned. that's crazy PP mentality.

^^ I think it's worth mentioning that we have two players in different sports under eligibility reviews that are either total BS or about things no one's even heard of, but meanwhile, UNC has newspapers reporting stories of massive academic fraud, and the NCAA has nothing to say about it.

my bet is that wilson took some money from somebody or something of that sort. that's usually what it is when an upperclassman has an NCAA issue this close to the season.

that or he's been on that dj green.

Mike GLennon, #5 in HD's ACC top25

Quote :
"2011 stats: Glennon threw for 31 touchdowns, the second-highest mark in school history behind Philip Rivers. He started all 13 games, completed 62.5 percent of his passes for 3,054 yards and 12 interceptions.

Previous ranking: Not ranked.

Making the case for Glennon: In his first season as a starter, Glennon quickly emerged from the shadow of Russell Wilson and was one of the ACC’s most productive passers. His improvement each game was measurable, and over the final three games of the season, he threw 11 touchdowns and two interceptions. Glennon is a talented drop-back passer with great size, arm strength and accuracy. He went to the Manning Passing Academy this summer, and should take another step forward this fall. "

I hear Coates is going to be really good for us in the future.

Also Glennon last year was tied with Murray from UGA for being 2nd to Andrew Luck for most Red Zone TSai w/o an interception.

Luck - 27
Glennon - 21
Murray - 21

No. 4. Brandon Jenkins, DE, Florida State

2011 stats: He started all 13 games in 2011 and led all FSU defensive linemen with 41 tackles (29 solo), and led the team with 12 tackles for loss and eight sacks.

speaking of CJ Wilson:

http://espn.go.com/blog/acc/post/_/id/42862/nc-state-goes-with-dontae-johnson-at-cb

Quote :
"The news that NC State will be without cornerback C.J. Wilson for the opener against Tennessee does not worry coach Tom O'Brien much.

That's because Dontae Johnson had already won the starting job. While Wilson is held out of the game with an NCAA eligibility issue, the Wolfpack will rely on Johnson, a player who is set to make his first career start at cornerback. That most likely means he will get picked on early with All-American cornerback David Amerson on the other side of the field. "

http://www.newsobserver.com/2012/08/27/2296555/qb-cj-wilson-to-miss-nc-state.html

Brandon Pittman will start at strongside LB
Creecy is now the starting RB against TN

The NCAA was probably just checking into rumors that CJ Wilson spent the summer getting paid to pitch for the Angels while also being a 31 year old white man.

I was thinking about the gloves we have that say "NC STATE" or whatever when the players put their hands in a diamond. It would be badass if someone could design the gloves to look like a wolf or even Mr Wuf whenever they make the Wolfpack sign with their fingers...
