i don't know if that was directed at me, but the GM at the restaurant that i've been serving at for less than 2 months asked me to bartend two nights ago. it got around, and now there are some seriously pissed off people about it. even taking out the race card (i'm white, most of the servers are black) so they assume that i got asked because of that reason.

i've laid here for the last hour and a half lucidly dreaming the weirdest shit...stuff, people, voices, songs, visions, etc. all keep running through my mind every time i close my eyes....

i haven't actually fallen asleep though...and i'm wide awake just as if i had a fabulous night's sleep...and i'm not achy or feverish or coughing anymore...


instead i'm drunk on cough syrup....like legitimately would get a DUI if I got pulled driving right now...

that shit is crazy...one of the side effects is dizziness...and boy did i get that (i wish i had gotten drowsiness instead)...the room has been spinning...everything about this night is very similar to how i feel and how i behave when i've been out drinking...i'm all stumbly...i'm jittery....i'm off balance....and my mouth even tastes like alcohol...

it's almost like i've been taking shots all night

ok...i finally just cleared up the reason for the weird reaction to the medicine last night...

the cough syrup contains the exact same stuff that the alka-seltzer contains...so i was getting a double dose...which in turn made my heart race and all that stuff and keeping me up all night....where as, if i had taken a dose of either instead of both, i probably would have been knocked out cold...


well now i know...and i'm not dying
