I'm having trouble with the word "damn" and its variants son. There seems to be some confusion and I've had to do some research.

We know that this word, "damn", is correctly spelled. But when someone wishes to damn something, they might use the words "dammit" or "damnit". This is where the problem lies!

From my research I've found that the word "damnit" is incorrect, while the phrase "damn it" is apparently correct. The word "dammit" is written slang, but apparently it's what you should use if you wish to make the phrase "damn it" into one word.

So, apparently it's "damn" and "damn it", or "dammit" if you wish to use the written slang term.


Is this analysis correct son? Incorrect son?

I just read a book called The Unlikely Disciple. It's about a student from Brown University that tranfers for one semester to Liberty University so he can write a book about the difference of lives there. It's a really good book and I would recomend it to everyone.

But it made me think.....these people at Liberty call themselves Evangelical Christians. I also call myself an Evangelical Christian. However, I think those students have no idea what evangelical means. It means good news. Honestly, how can news be good if someone tells you the news and it makes you feel ashamed and it makes you cry and it makes you feel worthless?
