Cullen skated the full practice today and his jaw will be unwired tomorrow. He's going to wear a little cage to cover his jaw, but he should play on Thursday/Friday. 2/7/2006 7:32:55 PM |

Ottowa will get their shit together and win the Stanley Cup. It'll be interesting to see how far the Canes get in the playoffs. 2/7/2006 7:55:15 PM |

Even at their best, Ottawa is a two-line team, and their forecheck lacks tenacity as you move up the depth chart. Their defensemen are also known to make boneheaded decisions at the worst possible times. It'll be interesting to see, but even at full tilt (and with an in-form Hasek), the Sens are far from unbeatable. 2/7/2006 7:58:30 PM |
steviewonder All American 6194 Posts user info edit post |
honestly, I really dont see anyone beating the Canes 4 out of 7 games. Ottawa is the only team that could pull it, but not without home ice. Barring a goalie meltdown, the Canes should roll deep. 2/7/2006 8:08:32 PM |

NEWS FLASH: Nordgren and Ladd will play with Lowell against the P-Bruins tomorrow night, then Ladd will fly to Tampa to play with the Canes. With Cullen coming back, Nordgren may stay with Lowell until he's needed. 2/7/2006 8:19:35 PM |

The Sens and the Wings are the only ones that I see winning a best of 7. Unless the 'Canes are the victims of the Stanley Cup Playoff Low Seed Winning Fluke for this year.
And even then, I think the 'Canes win a best of 7 more times than not against those two teams. It doesn't matter who goes down for the 'Canes, they always find a way to keep winning.

Skip to the 56 second mark of that file. They should use that sometimes for goal celebrations.

and yet it's not televised. I'm sick of all these non-televised game. We're number 1 in the NHL for god's sake. You would think either NBC or OLN would have picked up a couple games here and there, but no. Even though I was at the state bball game on sunday, I could have Tivo the game to watch later. 2/8/2006 12:21:59 AM |

I don't have center ice, and we're on OLN only once this year (the Red Wings game). I'm just sick of OLN keep showing these crappy teams like the penguins. 2/8/2006 12:49:48 AM |

38 of 41, close enough. The only non-FSN away games were Montreal two weeks ago (on CI in French), Boston on Sunday (on CI), and Toronto the fourth week in March (sure it'll be on CI). 2/8/2006 12:49:59 AM |

Actually, OLN twice this year. They changed the final game of the season to Buffalo at Carolina (April 18). The Toronto game has been added as a FSN broadcast, so every away game from here on out will be on. 2/8/2006 12:58:47 AM |

the canes need to win 10 of their last 28 games to reach 100 points....how many points do you think they will get? how many teams total will break the century mark?
I am guessing the Canes will end up with 108-116 points
I am also calling 10 teams with 100 or more points 2/8/2006 2:57:45 AM |

Another nhl.com poll, this one asking who should get the Selke trophy. 50k votes are in and Brind'Amour has the hammerlock on it. Very nice to see some respect. I feel like such a weenie too, because I was upset that we were keeping Rod and his big price tag before the season started. He has really shaped up to be a great leader, and a jack of all trades on the ice. I think I read somewhere that he is close to the top of the league in time on ice as well. 2/8/2006 3:37:18 AM |

Tonights Matchup vs. Tampa Bay at 7:30. The first of 3 tough games before the Olympic break.
Those of you who are lucky enough to have TWC Digital or DirecTV and HD will be glad to know that both will be airing the HD Broadcast of tonight's matchup.
I'm watching it on TWC Digital and i think its airing in InHD2 not sure what number that is.
