Am I the only one that notices that raleigh, WAY more so than any other area in the triad, has a large storm front approach it, which then breaks up a little, misses raleigh almost entirely, and then sometimes concentrates again into a large storm front right after passing by raleigh? I've seen this seriously 90% of the time lately. It could be a random fluke, but is there something going on in raleigh that could be responsible for this? NCSU weather-machine research maybe?

Its raining thats about it and yes I too have noticed the trend of storms splitting around Raleigh my roommate and I have been making jokes about it for years.

But I've looked at storms over the whole state for the last few months, and it doesn't seem to happen much anywhere else. (Like I said, though, it could just be random...)
