Just got a tablet off there and bit by their non-existent support. Touchscreen doesnt work and having to go through ASUS to get it fixed.

Odd you said that, I've had nothing but amazing support from woot when I've needed them. Sucks that you didn't get what you were looking for, but their support is very far from non-existent.

and asus makes you pay your own return as well. I managed to bitch enough that they waived it, but i certainly would have. I'm sure i wont get it back for a few weeks either while they "diagnose" and "repair"

If i'd bought Amazon, i could have returned for free and had a new one a week later.

Not a huge deal, buyer beware and all that, but still a nuisance.

I don't know if this is a case of buyer beware, as much as buyer inform yourself. Most of the stuff woot sells is factory refurbs or overstock anyway. If you would have bought from Amazon, you might have a better time returning it, but it would have cost 20-30% more as well.

This just seems like one of those "comes with the territory" things to me.
