^ wow. signed. I know exactly how you feel. I can't ever fall asleep until 4ish, I roll all around and don't get any kind of "deep sleep" but I can wake up to take care of responsibilities at 8am but I feel like shit, but after a few hours am so awake again that naps are just out of the question. I just got a prescription to Ambien but haven't even tried it because like you said I hate taking prescription meds and I know that if I do, I won't know how long I'll sleep in. Shit sucks. Insomnia, when I sleep, its like I never fall asleep but then I have so much energy the next day it just repeats.

See I wish i had that problem.(going to bed at 4 and waking up at 8)...i might do that once in a blue moon, but it STILL doesnt help me be tired the next night and therefore get on a better schedule. but most of the time, i sleep in late as shit...i cant stand missing most of the day like that.

i use to tell myself i'm more productive at night(cause i've always been a night owl) but lately i'm not...just sit around and wonder what there is i could do(which who wants to clean etc at 4am?)...usually just kill time with tww...on this masturbation strike now...so now theres even less reason to stay up late. and like my tv is never on. and i dont have cable...so its not like i could watch tv...and i don't watch movies by myself. of course for me it always comes down to "man if i was having sex with someone i'd probably go to sleep regular"...but i'm retarded like that(too idealistic)

i really wish i had a 9-5 job

i know!! i just never have energy though i feel tired all the time. so i'm like you but i never feel energized i just feel like in a fog or something like groggy and tired and it makes me grumpy and super irritable. and like so frustrated. but i definitely want to see how the medicine works before i like have to actually get up and do shit.

^ maybe a 9 to 5 job would help your sleep schedule it sounds like. i know mine is just not being able to turn off my mind or whatever and it is anxiety related. its like nothing helps even exercising (i mean it helps a little but still not with the sleep thing so then i'm too tired to exercise its like this cycle that won't die!).

and i don't even know what the deal is with ^^. i guess i kinda do. after a few hours i am awake, but not like a good awake. i still feel tired. but even if i try to nap i can't.

haha I've tried to tell myself that before but ends up she sleeps while I go to sleep on the couch and watch TV, read or play guitar till I'm ready to fall asleep, going in and waking her up. needless to say not boyfriend material haha.

I guess I'm hoping law school will level me out and mentally exhaust me enough to go to sleep. My doctor suggested only sleeping in your room, never TV or reading because you associate the room with sleep eventually...doesn't work. Running a couple miles before bed, doesn't work. I find that I enjoy spending my day with friends and conversation and at night is when I can really think about my day, life, future, etc. but it just gets me anxious and before I know it I look at the clock and its 6am and I've gotten no sleep and have to get up by 8:30

after I do "fall asleep" I can remember in the morning at what times I wake up and see the clock, it'll be like 3:45, 5:17, 6:36, etc. I just don't trust the pills because I've tried a few of them and its like my legs get numb and its just weird, and Seraquil caused me to sleep through an entire 18 hour period and I took a quarter of my friends 100mg, whoa.

I've heard from parents and older friends that as you get on the 9-5 your body will begin to regulate.

At least for me, right now I'm constantly working odd hours, hanging out with friends late, and drinking. I think when I get some routine in my life my body will adjust but right now it just doesn't know what to expect haha

oh man if anxiety is keeping you awake law school is NOT going to help you sleep!!!!

you might be exhausted, but you still aren't going to sleep well (if its anxiety and thinking about things that helps keep you up. that is how i am). though when i'm in school i CAN nap because i am exhausted. so maybe you will sleep just at weird times hah. law school didn't regulate my schedule because while my class schedule was set and my wake up time was set, what happened after class or in between classes always changes. whether i had a meeting, a project, more/less reading, etc. i mean i guess that is how having a job might be but i dunno. maybe i over extended myself with extracurriculars but my schedule was whack.

Have you had mono in the past few years?

I got in when I was sophomore in college and no lie, it took me two years to get my chronic fatigue to go away...

^ as a freshman/sophomore it was due to laziness/boredom. Over the years it has grown into something that worries me.

^2 no, no mono, but as a junior I had rocky mountain spotted fever. It seems like ever since then it has gotten worse and worse.

That just means that you're not sleeping well. Is your bed comfortable, do you wake up sore or anything achy? Do you snore? because all those things can make for very restless nights, my bed was too firm (no box springs) and that was really giving me terrible sleep

Well I thought it could be my bed, bc its not awesome at all, but it happens no matter where I sleep... I am getting a new bed next month though so I might ask the mattress people for suggestions!

I am coming back to NC tomorrow, and back to Raleigh on Sunday. Why, you miss me?

what do you think of the director's camera angle and use of lighting in this feature?

^3 I don't know, personally I feel the lighting could have been much better. Even if it costs a little more and might strain the production budget, lighting can make all the difference. And as for the camera angles -- they weren't in the action enough, to me. I feel like it could have made the video 10 x better had they used one of those camera angles where it looks like the person is walking above the camera. Overall... I am not impressed with this particular production.

^2 Today!!
