^^Yeah and I started Jacobs because he was a high-round pick and Benson was on my bench with 20 points. I mean it can work either way. But luckily I still won thanks to Hasselback in that league and MJD didn't do anything for the other guy.

Turner and E. Royal(finally) made up for Garrard in my other league.

In both leagues I managed to win without picking up a D/ST to replace the Packers.

I wouldnt, Brees is the best QB in the game right now, not to mention with you just trading one guy you would have to drop 2 from your roster.

I wouldnt do it

OK

I get LT he gets Braylon Edwards

do i do it? I need RB help bad, my starters are Jamal Lewis and Carnell Williams
I have Colston, Calvin Johnson, Jcotch and Torry Holt as my top targets

only hold up would be i also have Gates.

should i do it?

^^ Def. wouldn't do it. Try for a better trade or just keep watching the waiver wire.

[Edited on October 13, 2009 at 2:29 AM. Reason : LT was actually in waivers in one of my leagues the other day]

^^that's tough...i'd probably go with cooley since CAR just 0'ed a TE last week and Cooley can't lay an egg twice in a row can he?!?

Who should I pick up off the waiver wire? Nicks or M. Austin?!?

cowboys have a buy next week and roy williams may be back by their next game, so austin is a gamble.

I think LT still has some value and will rebound....he won't be elite, but there is some potential there for some points later in the year. Everyone seems to have completely given up on him...am I the only one?

I don't think he is over the hill either. His fantasy value isn't strong because he has become so injury prone in the last few seasons, you never when he is going to start. When he does start though, he looks decent.

B. Berrian
Cotchery
M. Massaquoi

RBs are

MJD
R. Bush
L. Washington
J. Jones (how do you not do anything in a 41-0 blowout)

Available on waivers:

Austin
Maclin
Collie
Burleson
Avery
Northcutt
Massaquai
Andre Caldwell
Mike Wallace
Chris Henry

Who would you get? I like Burleson since he has been the most consistent. (PPR)

As far as RBs:

Chester Taylor
Jamaal Charles
Edge
Jamal Lewis
McFadden
Beanie Wells
Fargas

Burleson is solid...I picked up Maclin to play at flex next week but considered Collie...Burleson was already gone...as far as RBs, Jamal Lewis busted off like 117 yards on Sunday...he could still have a nice year...McFadden and Taylor are other good options

^he also had to run it 30+ times to get to 100 yds & when's the next time you think the browns will get the chance to keep it on the ground that often?

i take it as a good sign for future weeks when the coach is willing to rush him that many times, even when it doesnt lead to touchdowns

they were running the other backs a bunch the last few weeks, and its still Jamal Lewis...when healthy he has shown he can be a helluva fantasy RB, even in recent years as he's gotten older

Which defense:

GB vs. DET
NYJ vs. BUF

Which Flex play (non-PPR)

Jeremy Maclin @ OAK (I'm assuming Asomugha will be on D Jackson)
Devin Hester @ ATL (coming off injury, but 6 points for return TD)
Jamal Lewis @ PIT (lots of yards last week but Pitt run D is legit)

Sammy Morris...man reason is New England's offense is actually potent and Morris is basically the #1 guy since Taylor is injured and Maroney...hasn't lived up to expectations...I think Belichik intentionally tries to save him for late in the year / postseason

now answer my question

yeah I have the Jets D, I have GB bolded cause thats my current starter

Maclin's upside is tremendous but Burleson is probably the better steady play right now.

Is Collie better than Garcon? Or is this just a spurt? Trying to figure out which one's going to keep playing if Gonzalez comes back.

^I think Gonzalez is more of a slot player too so he could take away from Collie, but you'll probably just have to wait and see.

I just dropped Garcon for Maclin. Garcon is getting less looks and Maclin has steadily gotten more the last few weeks and has played himself into the #2 WR spot, so I think he has more potential than Garcon who looks to be Peyton's 3rd or 4th option right now. Thoughts?

The Indianapolis WR situation seems difficult to predict. With Gonzalez about to return, I'd probably take a chance on Maclin for now. I'd ask for other opinions though; I've been out of the country for the past two weeks, so I'm not as informed as I could be.

Pick 2:

Rashard Mendenhall versus CLE
Matt Forte versus ATL
Clinton Portis versus KC

Pick 1:
Devin Hester versus ATL
Santana Moss versus KC

^Mendenhall, Forte & Moss

Quote :

I just wanna say that I disagree, it's definitely P. Manning.

ok, now me, now me:

Pick 2:
R. Rice @ MIN
D. Williams @ TB
M. Forte @ ATL
R. Grant vs. DET

Tough call. I'd say Rice, Forte, or Grant.

I'd say at this point that Ray Rice is a must-start, every week. Even against solid run defenses (like MIN), he can catch passes out of the backfield. He's going to do damage in every game basically.

I don't like DeAngelo against TB. You beat TB through the air....and Carolina's line isn't knocking holes in anyone this year. He may be a decent play...but I like the others better.

Grant vs. DET is a nice matchup....but Forte is starting to come on strong.

I'd say Rice and Grant, but would be ok with any 2 of those 3.

Ok, topic: Team overload.

How many players of one team is too many? I've got a bunch of players from the same team, and a bit worried about it.

I've got colston and pierre thomas from NO.
Brady/Moss from NE.
and Akers (K), Philly Defense, Jeremy Maclin (bench), and LeSean McCoy(bench).

I mean, the only two who could be a real liability are Brady and Moss. The others don't directly impact each other too much.

Was just offered:

Jermichael Finley and Mike Wallace

In return I send him:

Terrell Owens

I only have one player on bye this week (Witten), so a decent replacement TE would be nice. And Owens hasn't really materialized for me. My other WRs are Holmes, Bryant, Edwards, and Bennett.

I hope you're competent enough that you could have structured that question as a "Pick 1 between Mendenhall and Moreno"

and the answer if Mendenhall if Parker doesn't play, Moreno if he does

right now forte is the odd man out in my lineup

he's been shit so far, so if anything IMO it's a toss-up between him and moreno

and i thought parker was out for a while i.e. 3 weeks or so
