Eh, they've been warning us about the damn Thursday night game for over a month. Had roadsigns posted about it in early September. I seriously doubt it had as much to do with the game as the piece of radiation gear dying in Lineberger.

Not sure how many of you are still around the RTP/RDU NC area, but all of our local UNC Journalism/Business school-alumni Tarhole newscasters were wearing their powder blue and promoting the "Zero Dark Thursday" shit like crazy...

That was awesome. I was feeling good enough seeing them just struggle against Holy Cross and Belmont. But then Belmont had to go out and rip victory from the jaws of defeat. They are pretty garbage without PJ and LMac. They have one person that can shoot in Paige, and while he's pretty smooth and does a decent job of creating his own shot, he has two problems: (1) he's also probably their best point guard and they need him distributing the ball as well as shooting it, and (2) He's not big and athletic...better teams should not have too much trouble shutting him down.

Last year they had Hairston and Bullock jacking up (and often draining) 25 footers from all over the court. They don't have anything close to that this year. If PJ and LMac are done...then this team will struggle to finish about .500. For them to even get close to sniffing the ACC tourney, their big men are all going to have to turn into Sean May...because this team can't score points. If McDonald comes back, that might help a little bit. They can rebound and play decent defense...but against good competition, they'll struggle to hit 60 on a nightly basis. Even with the focus on calling all of these fouls...they can't even shoot free throws at a respectable clip.

Knock on wood...but this season could be glorious.
