Obviously we don't know what Amile is going to do, but I'm of the mind that in today's college landscape an uncommitted top 30 player who waits until after UKs horde decides on whether they want to go pro or not is either waiting to announce there for scholarships to open or praying that UK comes around eventually and offers them.

They are the closest thing to a hand picked team out there. What young, black athlete wouldn't want to hang with Jay-Z and Lebron through WWW?

Our only hope with a guy like Amile is that he truly cares about getting an education, realizes that his chances to be an NBA 1st rounder are slim regardless of where he plays, and that feels some sense of loyalty to State for recruiting him long before UK.

If he makes his decision based purely on playing basketball and having a good time, we have no chance in hell.

Even guys like Teague can be one and done there even after having a poor freshman year. It's been proven in studies that playing deep into the tournament increases your draft stock. (Although its also been proven that the ACC is the best conference for improving your stock and SEC is one of the worst for major conferences).

The one big drawback to Kentucky is they have one of the most racist fan bases in the country. If you can look past that it's got all the perks. $$$, facilities, tradition, agents, WWW, exposure, etc

If we can go against Duke and Kentucky and recruit a top-25 player from Pennsylvania to come to State when we can't really offer any more playing time than those schools can, that would be a pretty impressive job by Gottfried. Not many schools outside of UNC, Duke, Kentucky, Kansas... can get a McDonald's All American to sign without offering at least a shot of starting his freshman year (barring injury).
