Aside from having more head-coaching experience in the Pac-10/12, why is Romar first in line?...He's done well within that conference, but that's not saying a whole lot given the league's profile the last couple of years. Nationally he only has a few Sweet-16's to show. I realize UW isn't a basketball power-house and that the resources at his disposal would be far greater at UCLA, but even still, I don't think that would be enough to catapult him or the program back into the upper echelon of the NCAA. Gott on the other hand appears to be on the upswing, and he has the media-connections to capitalize on the star-power that goes along with being UCLA's coach. I think it's close to being a push at this point.
