I have sleep problems anyway though. Like right now, I fell asleep for a little less than four hours. I am unable to sleep more than four hours unless I fall asleep after 3am, at which point I usually end up sleeping 10 hours (to 1pm).

Part of the reason for the problem is being unemployed and the fact that I require money and health insurance to stay alive. See, if I could just live like every other college rat I would have half the expenses I have right now and could just ride out this bullshit recession (for about uh... yeah I could have lasted til next september if I didn't have healthcare expenses, but right now I'll only last til october this year).

I'm thinking about one of the old higher ups at work when I was tasked with going around and implementing a hotfix on all our new IP phones to unfuck the computer network.

As soon as I went into his office he got all defensive and was like "nothing is wrong, it all works fine, but for some reason the phone just stopped working"... So I just said "no worries, the IT department just wants this on every phone, it takes fifteen seconds and I'll be out of your hair," because I really needed to get back to work on my project (being that it was supposed to be the big moneymaker for our department for that year). So I go over and work to reprogram the phone and notice that the plugs on the back were switched and he's immediately like "yeah I don't know the phone stopped working about fifteen minutes ago, i moved the phone but I plugged everything back in correctly". I was like "let me just try this right quick" and *blammo* the phone worked perfectly again. From there it was like "OK, that should do it, have a good one!" and I got the hell out of there before anything else happened, lol.

It's always amazing when you look back and think about the sort of people you had for a boss (or that worked in upper management) at different companies. Makes you wonder why people get paid $200k/yr to be deadweight.
