in math, there are certain abbreviations which would be convenient, but which no one ever uses because they amount to gay things

for example, it would be logical to call a homomorphism a "homo," but of course no one does it

also, it would be logical to abbreviate a free abelian group as a FAG, but no one does it

for some reason, pretty much all these terms seem to arise in the realm of abstract algebra...just another reason why algebra is gay
