Haith is a Barnes guy

word was he was gonna be recomended for the Tejas job if Barnes came here

it is impossible to have wanted Barnes SO FUCKING MUCH, and have such a blind hatred for Haith

Is he Calipari/Barnes/pitino/tubby/wright.....no, but damn, i bet most of you talking shit know nothing more about him then the 4 times we played the canes in the last 2 years, and what the dude looks like

get the fuck off his dick, is he #1 guy, no....could he be successful here, most definately

I dont like the style of basketball Haith plays....whether its barnes or not.

His style looks out of control and relies on streaky shooters to penetrate and create something that probably shouldnt be there. Now that could be just because Miami has some shit players and 2 great guards, or because he doesnt know anything else.

I watched a lot of them in the first two years in the ACC. I watch too much basketball/sports in general. I'm not knocking the guy, but I do have questions about his coaching style.

^dumbass....he recruited most of them for Barnes

this is a PRIME example of the jackassery and lack of knowledge in this situation

HE GOT THE MCDONALDS PLAYERS AT TEXAS YOU STUPID FUCK, UNDER BARNES!!!

^and dude, i agree, his on the court coaching does not look that tight, but hell he was running his offense with a glorified volleyball player and 5 other dudes probably just off the boats....

and remember, he outcoached herb a few times if my recollection is right

Like was said above... these were for Barnes' Texas teams.

Found it on his bio

Rodney Rodgers (Wake Forest, 1990), Jerald Brown (Texas A&M, 1995), Brad Buckman (Texas, 2002), LaMarcus Alridge (Texas, 2004), Daniel Gibson (Texas, 2004) and Michael Williams (Texas, 2004)

Not bad.

So how is he attributed those recruits and not barnes? Just asking, did they say they signed there because of him or something?

Yeah, which is why I'm willing to give him a chance. At this point, I wont throw anyone out (except Larranga) because I'm not sure if we can land anyone for the long run.

Each assistant coach is given a kid to recruit. Same way as NC State and every other program.

Yes, the coach calls them and meets them on Official Visits.... but the asst coach is the one who talks to them nonstop, goes to practice/games, etc.

Not that this makes a difference on way or the other, but I phoned into the Fox Sports Radio Show. He told me that he had been following the situation, which was good to know, and that he thinks, and had been talking to "people", that we are going to end up with a up and coming coach. Just his two cents.

we're not going to get a good coach or have a winning season next year

Wait, thats not true. We will have a winning season next year. Wake Forest was so bad this year and they were above .500. We also could get a great young coach with a lot of energy and great at the X's and O's. Think a young Dean Smith or K.

ok, you were right about Barnes

But to say we wont have a good coach or have a winning season next year is ignorant...I hope you're joking.

if we don't get calipari, fowler is a royal screw-up and a disgrace to the position. Why would big donors be against calipari? against winning?

I think that Calipari is not the end all coach for Fowler's legacy. I think a John Brady or Gilespie would could be a great find for LF.

for all the talk about being a successful program and competeing on a national level, we need an established PROVEN coach.....not an up-and-comer

the more i hear a/b gilespie, the better he's sounding. i wouldn't be too disappointed with him.

but calipari definitely needs to be our number one target.

and of course the longshots should be contacted at least...pitino, wright...meh....maybe tubby

but please no brady.

Phil Martelli

-Italian
-loud
-is a coach

im not sure if his fashion sense is bad enough

^if you wont take Gilispie at all, then you really must not know anything about what he did at UTEP and TAMU.

We should do whatever it takes to get Calipari.

And then if he doesn't want it, try for Jay Wright.

Then someone else.

Calapari should be our number 1 target and rightfully so with the way he recruits and his record speaks for itself.. but getting Gilispie would not be the end of the world.. he brought 2 programs from the shit hole and made them respectable

Guys, realistically we should be looking into to rally good mid major coaches. I think that is the best long term route, unless we get Calipari.

Guys, Herb left, we didn't fire him. We are trying to find a coach to take us to the next level, which could be one of the young guns from the MVC or something.
