A guy wants to trade L. Jordan (Oakland) and a kicker for Jamal Lewis (Baltimore)
Would you take this trade? 10/24/2006 6:05:02 AM |

Jordan is having an MRI done today to evaluate the damage to his back.
Unless you are getting rid of him, or the kicker is gould, DO NOT take Lamont Jordan.
Jamal Lewis carries next to no value as well. 10/24/2006 6:57:05 AM |

LT2 is a given at one RB.
The other is b/t Reggie Bush (vs BAL) and Leon Washington (vs CLE). I'm leaning towards Bush because he'll catch passes and the receptions are big. Plus I'm not so sure Barlow doesn't get all the touches in the goal line plays.
Thoughts?

agreed.
If you are in a ppr league, Bush is definitely the choice.
Mangini has already said that despite Washinton's performance, he will continue to split carries with Barlow.
start Bush 10/24/2006 11:41:12 AM |

^play Washington
A. Cleveland's run defense is not as good as Baltimore B. Washington has been propelled into the Jets' starting RB role after his last couple games C. Bush is splitting more carries with Deuce than Leon will split with Barlowe
if its points per receptions maybe play Bush
if not play Washington
ps this has nothing to do with my feelings on Bush outside of FF...but I did play Washington last week

Quote : | "Despite his second 100-yard game in three games and the trust of his quarterback, rookie Leon Washington will remain just one part of a two-headed backfield in New York. "People are learning about his speed and stuff, but the way he runs the football… He's very physical in between the tackles. He doesn't go down with one defender," Chad Pennington told the Newark Star-Ledger. "He's a very physical person even though with his size you wouldn't think that." However, coach Eric Mangini won't give up on the job share. "It will be game plan-specific or package-specific," he told Newsday. "Today that is what it was, package-specific. [Leon] had certain plays and Kevan had certain plays, and there is some flexibility within those plays for both guys."
Washington, fresh off a 129-yard, two-touchdown performance in week seven, is averaging nearly five yards per carry. Barlow, who also scored in week seven and now has five touchdowns on the season, is averaging just three yards per tote, but is still getting 10-12 carries per game. The Jets are clearly not going to change what's working for them, so for now Washington's fantasy owners will have to hope he continues to approach 20 touches per game." |

One more question. Here are my Recievers and Running Backs:
Recievers Lee Evans (Buff.) J. Cotchery (NY Jets) L. Coles (NY Jets) I. Bruce (St. Louis) J. Galloway (T.B.)
Backs D. Foster (Carolina) A. Green (Green Bay) T. Henry (Tenn.) J. Lewis (Balt.) L. Betts (Wash.)
In my league, 3 Recievers and 3 Running Backs start each game with only one QB, TE, K, and D/ST.

Panthro:
We can play 3 RBs in a full scoring league (PPR, etc.) Pick two to start out of these three (already have LJ starting and Portis on a bye)
1. Washington 2. Droughns 3. Lundy
I am leaning towards Droughns and Washington because Lundy's performance might have been a fluke. But Houston is playing Tenn who is awful on run D so I am unsure. What do you think?

NE and Minn defenses are available and both squads have relatively easy schedules for the remainder of the year.
Which one is a better option?
Minnesota: Mon 10/30 New England Sun 11/5 at San Francisco Sun 11/12 Green Bay Sun 11/19 at Miami Sun 11/26 Arizona Sun 12/3 at Chicago Sun 12/10 at Detroit Sun 12/17 NY Jets Thu 12/21 at Green Bay Sun 12/31 St. Louis
NE: Sun 11/5 Indianapolis Sun 11/12 NY Jets Sun 11/19 at Green Bay Sun 11/26 Chicago Sun 12/3 Detroit Sun 12/10 at Miami Sun 12/17 Houston Sun 12/24 at Jacksonville Sun 12/31 at Tennessee
Heck, maybe pickup both (but then I'd have to drop my current D (Jax) and a roster player)?

My questions of the week:
Batch @ OAK or Eli vs TB
Start 3: Steve Smith vs DAL Plaxico Burress vs TB Darrell Jackson @ KC Michael Clayton @ NYG Eddie Kennison vs SEA Reggie Williams @ PHI
Pick 1: Denver vs IND Tennessee vs HOU
Right now, I've got Batch slated to start at QB and Smith, Burress and Jackson slated to start at WR. But Kennison/Williams both could be good plays.

^^ I'd probably go with NE. You figure they will always play a tight game and defense will have to step up with some sacks and TO's. 10/25/2006 11:58:00 AM |

^ I don't know about that. The Minnesota D has been pretty solid for me this year and has scored 3 TDs in the past two weeks. They are definitely opportunistic and can create TOs. I think both Ds (NE and MIN) are better than the JAX D now due to some of the injuries the Jags have suffered. 10/25/2006 12:06:18 PM |

I've got QB issues that I need some advice on. Hasselbeck has been my starter up until this weekend and on average, he's been pretty good. I'm keeping him despite his injury. The problem is my backup QB is Plummer (vs Indianapolis). I checked the waivers and picked up Frye (vs NYJ) and Romo (vs Carolina). Frye seems to be playing decently based on stats. I think Romo has much better passing options but the pass rush might be too much for him.
Would any of you guys take a chance with Romo or would you go with Frye? Would anyone go with Plummer? 10/26/2006 6:17:46 PM |
LudaChris All American 7946 Posts user info edit post |
Indy's D isn't anything to write home about, and Javon Walker is a good weapon. I'd avoid Romo at least this week. It's his first start, there is the whole controversy thing, and plus Peppers should dominate with that OL. Frye...well...it's Frye. Hard to predict. The J-E-T-S JETS defense is ok, got some youth at corner, so he might be ok.
I'd go with Frye.
Ok, RB situation(not the typical WR situation from me), need one of these to compliment LT this week.
Steven Jackson vs. SD (match-up isn't favorable though Larry Johnson tore them up) Travis Henry vs. Houston (great match-up, he's been on fire and he seems healthy) Leon Washington vs. Cleveland (same as Henry) 10/26/2006 6:29:35 PM |

Henry or Washington? 10/26/2006 11:12:17 PM |

I'd go with Henry for the simple fact that Washington will lose a lot of possible goalline carries to Barlow. In the past few weeks, Henry has shown that Tennessee no longer needs a RBBC, and he has gotten in the endzone repeatedly. In my opinion you always go with the guy who is shouldering the load on his own.
It's like ha ving Tiki get you all the way to the goalline and then Jacobs finishes with 5 carries for 8 yards and two scores. 10/27/2006 12:02:42 AM |
