so does anyone know what the rockstar social club is about? i have linked shit and it shows my game on there, but i can't see anything beyond the front page...the scrolling shit at the top has no clickability is there something i'm missing or is it just unfinished?

well i picked this up today with my new ps3. I can say i am very impressed. I can't wait to pick up an HDMI and play it downstairs on our big HDTV. But on my 54 inch standard big screen it looks great.

I do feel like, and i know this will change, that the phone calls are so frequent that I haven't really had a chance to see the island.


Will putting the phone on silent, sleep mode, or whatever it is cause any reprocussions?

finally got tot start playing this the other day. i keep getting confused and reverting to using GTA:SA style controls when things get hairy, but other than that, its awesome. haven't checked out the online stuff yet.

although I had my suspicions about that michelle chick, when you finally find who she is, i was actually so pissed and disappointed that i was like "screw it, i need to go for a walk" so i just walked nico around the city for a couple of blocks. ha ha

So where are the helicopters? I got a lcpd chopper to land and couldn't get in it. I'm pretty sure it wouldn't let me in and I got killed trying. Can you not get in police helicopters?

a damn cop car knocked it out of the parking space when i was being chased and it was gone after that

pissed me off so much i went on a killing spree to get as many of the fuckers as i could

go to the southern end of algonquin and there's a helitours place that has 3 or 4 helicopters. just shoot a pilot and get in one.

yes...as long as you do things like load your game if you fail a mission and skip your cab rides, since things like that help you save time as well

^i thought the same the first few times i saw it. So yesterday I hit Y and he jumped up the side. But since the boat is so huge you have to actually go to the cabin on the 3rd floor to actually drive it. Which is why it would be cool for multiplayer because you can have people on the different levels and stuff.

just finished brucie's car stealing missions last night, woot.

just unlocked the 2nd island with wall street and such as well, I quit after i spent forever on Playboy X's first mission and then died right near the end. annoying.

i have ps3 and 360 and chose ps3. main reason was my cancelling of xbox live a few months ago, don't feel like getting that sub again

the street races seem to be really easy...i've done all the algonquin ones and the only one where a car finished somewhat close to me was the star junction one where it was all farrari/lambo/etc supercars

i'm just rolling with the Sultan RS and smoking fools

wish there was some easier way to keep track of all the random characters...think i've done them all but won't know till i've gotten the rest of the stuff done for 100%...i'm around 90% right now (still have the pigeons, some races, and the stunt jumps left to do)

but on a more serious note, my multiplayer experience has involved:

1. Sitting in an empty waiting room
2. Being disconnected while the empty waiting room loads
3. Being disconnected while a potentially populated waiting room loaded (I think I heard someone use their mic).
4. Finally finding a room full of players, and being disconnected during the countdown to start the game. (I think I made it to 6)

is there some sort of trick to this?

i have had zero problems playing online on the PS3...it's a piece of cake to invite your friends to your game as well

given that the GTA multiplayer on the PS3 is server based and not P2P like live, it might be something on your end as there haven't been reported problems with multiplayer since the patch came out
