It's funny, this second time through prestige, i've found two surprising guns that i'm pretty decent with. I'm trying to catch up to a buddy of mine who got way ahead while i spent 3 weeks in India working and was on "xbox sabattical," so i'm trying to complete a ton of challenges. Anyway, before, I used the MP5 and the P90 SMG's and left the others alone b/c i thought they were shitty. I used the AK-47u and the Mini-Uzi the last couple days and have been racking up the kills w/ stopping power & extreme conditioning perks, runnin' and gunnin'. didn't play at all last night. I got on a torrent downloading binge and new i'd have a bad connection on COD had i gotten on. I'll be away all weekend, so another chance to rest my skills.



Once you reach level 55 (no prestige) can you still unlock things for guns you didn't use or blue tiger camos and stuff for guns you do use a lot? Or are you just stuck with what you have minus the challenges?

basically you are just resetting everything back to just as it was at the beginning of your online career once you hit lvl 55 and getting a new badge beside your name that say 'yeah i'm bad ass so much that i can start over without all of these scopes and shit and still kick ass'.

I've got all the achievements and damn proud of it (except for the fact that I've spent so much time playing a damn addictive video game.) New squadron record was a bit tough, took a few attempts, and mile high club was insane but after ~150 tries, i got it.

i was a hardcore halo 1 and halo2 player. however, halo3 is just lame the series is outdated now. graphics and gameplay is so 2005 compared to playing CoD4. halo3 is nothing but a run and gun game i can't stand that it takes like half a clip to kill anyone.

You're definitely right about that

There is a much larger gap between a n00b Halo player and an expert than between a n00b COD player and an expert

All the different weapons and vehicles, jumps, etc. add to the learning curve

COD its pretty much just point and shoot...but its still 10 times more fun IMO

i've played a whole lot more COD (2,3,4) than Halo, but I'd say 90% of it depends on your opponents and teammates...for example if you're playing a bunch of level 10 prestiges and your team is a bunch of noobs who dont know the map, you're fucked

^^^ if you are not good, you could probably NEVER kill someone who is good at halo, if you are a noob at cod4, you got a chance, maybe a small chance, to kill someone good. it takes more skill to play cod4 due to the logistics and damage hits int he game, then it does to play halo, but it takes way more skill to be good at halo than it does to be good at cod4.

any n00b playing shotty snipers can hit the zoom button twice, camp in a corner the entire map then barely catch UBER 1337z0r halo player yank the twigger once or twice to snipe them. or run around throw a sticky grenade for the kill.

i've played the halo series since its inception and used to dominate in halo 1 and 2. i have since gone to CoD4 and have been sold since. i only play halo3 when i am visiting my friends houses b.c we can all sit around and play. other then this i never play and never played continuously multiplayer in over 3 years yet i can always plop down and come close to a 1:1 ratio on halo3 (my friend is pretty far up their in rank so its not like we play n00bs). The same couldn't occur for CoD4. You will run around and straight up get pwn all day long perhaps getting a martydom kill or a n00b tub3 kill if you are a person who doesn't play the game much.

Today on overgrown there was intense fighting over grandma's house. I was pissed though that after claymoring, nading, and mp5ing 6 enemies trying to storm the attic I ended up dying b.c an enemy spawned in the attic right in front of me before the 6th guy dies.

just try to hit all the barrack challenges and try a bunch of guns..helps u level up faster.

granted i barely touched the M16 my first time around; but M16, MP5, and the W1200 are probably some of my fave guns. I also use the G3 heavily,sometimes switch the M16 out for the M4, and enjoy using a LMG on the occasion.
