I have a stronger gut feeling about Favors than Wall. I can see Wall picking Memphis or even an upset in Baylor.

I'd say Wall isnt going to Baylor. Why would he? For a kid that wants to showcase talent as a potential one and done what does he get out of going to Waco?

at least coming to State he would be playing in the best basketball conference (top-bottom) in the nation, he would be working with 2 champion point guards as well as become a immediate star.

memphis and NCSU are the top 2 in this battle but with Favors now crossing Memphis off his list then it could mean something good is about to happen to us

memphis was the only school left recruiting both of them and they seemed to have gelled while visiting here.

that all depends. i don't think we have to really be good (at least to persuade john wall), but i think we have to commit to playing a flavor of basketball that suits him. with the guys we have coming in next year, this team will be totally different. if he can see that the system is good, but missing really skilled players (which i think is a fair assessment), i think that'd go a long way.

then again, i have no idea what the fuck i'm talking about.

It sounded like Wall would announce early but he's changed his stance some, kinda disappointing because I thought we got him if he announced early. It seems like Favors' coach is pushing him to sign before the season though, just wish his coach was a big State fan, haha.

Why wouldn't he? Same thing that happened to Michael Beasley: he followed his high school coach out to Kansas State, and ended up being the feature player at not only K State, but the entire Big 12. I hope Wall picks State, but if the team plays poorly over the season, his draft stock/image could suffer as a result.

i guess we'll never know how high hickson would have gone. i mean, what if we would have made it to the acc title game again, hickson was selected first team all-confernece, AND we had made it to the elite 8 in the tourney? Would he have been drafted higher?

no doubt he would have more exposure, but he was also the best player on the team last year. I think if that scenario unfolded, we would have needed Brandon to be the star, and good point guard play, so who knows how Hickson's stats would have turned out.
