I'd say Smith is a lot more valuable than LT.

Pick 2:
Andre Johnson @ Cin
Wes Welker vs Ten
Sims-Walker vs STL
Santonio Holmes vs Cle

Panthro: Rank these WRs here on in:

Austin, Collie, Garcon, Maclin, Manningham

decided to throw Austin in there since he's the flavor of the [next] week

I'm not sure about that trade, I'm saying I think it was a good move for me to try and snag LT from waivers...he kind of has some big upside...as for your trade, so does Smith...it honestly depends who your other RBs and WRs are...if you are solid at RB I might do it...if you're solid at WR but not RB I probably wouldn't

[Edited on October 14, 2009 at 7:04 PM. Reason : nm looks like you got it taken care of]

^^It's not as big of a gap as say in week 1, but I wouldn't overthink it...play Brees

yay, got maclin and burleson. i had to drop my kicker, though.

This anthony gonzalez/pierre garcon/collie situation needs to sort itself out soon, though, because it is taking up my bench spots.

eh, come on thats a bit harsh. Yes Brees is probably the right choice, and yes people can "overthink" things, but its not as moronic as you might think. Obviously Brees seems like the obvious starter. But in my league consider this:

Brees' games: 40, 21, 2, 4 ~Avg: 16.75
Orton's games: 11, 12, 10, 17, 17 ~Avg: 13.5

Brees has been hot and cold while Orton has been solidly consistent. It at least warrants a glance at who the opponent is perhaps. Especially when you consider that the 40 pt game was against Detroit, one of the worst passing defenses in the league, and also the team that has given up 4 more passing TDs than any other defense. Also consider that Brees' opponents this week have one of the best passing Ds statistically in the league this year.

When you start to break it down, it is not as easy of a decision as you make it seem. Yes its easy to overthink this stuff, but I wouldnt call anyone a moron for at least giving Orton a second thought in that situation.

would you drop Rice to pick up Nicks? I want him, but we've got a limit of WRs on the roster and I'm at my limit.

Is this for a bench spot, or starter?

I'd take Nicks over Rice as a bench player at this point, because I think he has bigger upside. He has touchdowns in the past two games and as we've seen the Giants passing game is putting up monster numbers. If Nicks became the #2 there consistently, that would be $$.

I hate to recommend a UNC player, but you have to throw bias shit like that out.

^im somewhat in the same dilemma

I like Cincy, the Vikings are going to score thats without a doubt...Schaub is shaky but can put together some nice 3 td games from time to time, I just feel as if Houston is more vulnerable to sacks

My Dilemma comes between playing either Cincy vs Houston or Kansas City vs. Washington

I just made this trade and it has been processed. Most people in our league say I made a bad trade, but I like it and that's all that matters. Tell me your thoughts.

GOT:
Steven Jackson
Nate Burleson

GAVE:
Antonio Gates
Ray Rice

Notes-
Heath Miller is now my only TE (Only need 1 anyways, and Miller isn't that big of a drop off from Gates in all reality)
Steven Jackson is having a down year so far thanks to the Rams, but he is still Steven Jackson and could put up huge numbers (#1 RB is MJD)
Other RBs are MJD, Sproles, Larry Johnson, and Ricky Williams... So losing Ray Rice doesn't hurt that bad.
My #3 WR has been either Cotchery/Antonio Bryant all year, so Nate Burleson is an upgrade from those two for the time being (Top 2 are Roddy White and Steve NYG Smith)

Is it really that bad of a trade I made? I definitely took a chance on Jackson, but if he pans out then my two RBs will be MJD and Jackson. Not bad.

also - currently #1 in the league overall so maybe i should of left trades alone.

Who should I start this week -

Cooley vs. KC
Heap vs. MN

Heap is projected to have 10 more points, however I could see Washington actually playing well against the Chiefs, whereas I'm not sure how Baltimore's OL will hold up against MN's pass-rush, meaning less time for Flacco to throw it. Maybe that's a good thing and he'll be looking for an outlet to the TE more frequently?

i don't really expect willie parker to be productive as a RB in real life or fantasy.. ever again.

edit: ok just read that mendenhall was out with the flu today.. i'd still go with him though, parker doesn't get in the endzone too much

I think Parker is done, but don't hold me to that.

Steve Smith (NYG) vs Saints or Cotchery vs Bills?

I'm leaning Cotchery bc the Saints D is good vs pass, but Smith has had a monster season so far.

ok a few calls to make this week,
debating
H. Miller or A. Gates at TE...

and pick two WR:
D. bowe (KC)
M. Sims-Walker (JAC)
T. Holt (JAC)
S. Breaston (ARI)
L. Moore (NO)

leaning towards bowe and sims-walker this week...

dont bother with this lynch this weekend unless you need a flex play. He will be most productive catching passes since Edwards wont even have time to look down the field.

Randy Moss vs Ten
Wes Welker vs Ten
Sims-Walker vs STL
Derrick Mason @ Min (Offensive Coordinator said they are going to target him more)
Manningham @ NO
Devin Hester @ Atl

I'd go Raaaaaaaandy, Welker, and Manningham. Playing both Pats wouldn't be an ideal situation, but Tenn's pass D has been hurting and I don't like Mason vs the Vikes or MSW because that offense is all out of whack right now. I bet Bill is going to want to get that passing game back on track after what the Broncos did to them last week as well. Hester would be my first alternate of those as he is playing in prime time and you know they want to get him the ball.

McNabb vs Oak

or

Rodgers vs Det

^Rodgers, but just by a nose. Detroit is giving up points to QB's, but McNabb and the Eagles have a solid offense. I'm still saying Rodgers though.

I need to ask again because I'm paranoid and have too many "good" RBs:

pick 2 RB's

R. Rice @ MIN
D. Williams @ TB
M. Forte @ ATL
R. Grant vs. DET

Loaded at WR this week. Pick 4:

Mike Sims-Walker vs StL
TJ Housh vs Ari
Steve Smith (NYG) @ NO
Marques Colston vs NYG
Ochocinco vs Houston
Jeremy Maclin @ Oak

Posting again to get some more input as I have no idea still who to play. I think a case can be made for any of them, they all are either talented or have tasty matchups, or both. Even Maclin I think deserves some consideration, if Desean is locked down the whole time then hes gonna get lots of targets again. I'm personally leaning towards benching Maclin and Colston at the moment.

^ danny EZ:

Mike Sims-Walker vs StL
Steve Smith (NYG) @ NO
(must plays)

Marques Colston vs NYG
(tough giants d but probably will be down and throwing)
TJ Housh vs Ari
(hasselbeck is back, and while i think burleson will have the better game, housh will get his and ariz last in pass d)
Ochocinco vs Houston
(good matchup here)

I would say not to play colston just bc you never know what to expect vs the giants

Haha thanks Joey. Yeah its one of those situations where I probably can't really go wrong. Though I have a feeling one of my bench WR's will end up going off I'm sure the others will do enough for me to win regardless of who I start.

How about Willie Parker or Leon Washington? FWP has practiced and they've said he will be the starter but who knows.

Quick 2 fantasy questions:

Who do I start at my flex position?

T.O vs Jets
Marshawn Lynch vs Jets
Donnie Avery vs Jags

Tight end?
(Witten is on bye this week)
Dustin Keller vs Bills
Tony Scheffler vs Chargers.

Thanks in advance.
