Well I want the oregon stanford winner to win out because a high-powered passing offense has the best shot of beating alabama. It was evident this weekend.

Stanford and Boise come to mind first. Many won't like for me to say these things but traditional teams like ohio state and nebraska would get blown out.

Honestly what has anyone seen so far this year that makes them believe UF can beat Bama? Arkansas was playing great coming into the Bama game, coming off an emotional win over UGA and they had Bama on their heels, but still the Tide won. UF has yet to play a complete game this season and I think Bama is going to put the hurt on them.

I know Florida is planning to use 5 down linemen (3dt, and 2 de) to clog up the lanes. Interesting approach, but their strength is in their dt's so it could work for them. They have a solid defense, and a strong secondary. If you can slow down the running game of Bama, and make them throw it, Florida can produce turnovers (12 int so far).

With the emergence of Burton now playing multiple positions and much better WR's, Florida has a better balanced approach and more weapons. Not like last year when Tebow tried to do everything. Plus Bama's defense isn't as strong as it has been in recent years.

I think they can pull a close one out though. Heard it here first

Late in the game when Bama goes into the wildcat, theres no stopping that. and their defense is as good as anyone elses so the only way to beat bama is to outscore them and get lucky here and there. you're not going to beat them in a defensive/rushing low scoring battle because they won't turn it over.

It was only against kentucky so we don't know how good this florida kid that scored all the touchdowns really is. Florida will need some trickeration and an alex smith of a game from brantley to beat bama.

I'm looking at the possibility of gameday in clemson. What other games are that day? Its almost a certainty if both teams win out which I think they will we just need to get by vt and fsu.

We have a long week to prepare for the game so it could be our national/primetime coming out party. Still hard to believe we hosted gameday with jay davis?

Thats the benefit they have, bama doesn't have much film on the kid to plan a scheme around him like they were able to do last year against Tebow. Though it was against Kentucky, scoring 6tds in a game is not probable regardless of the opponent. More importantly though, he is a QB. That is what he signed on for, he has only thrown the ball once. So your right with the trickeration involved, and using the kid to run and throw, and still have Brantley is a big advantage I believe.

Bama does turn the ball over if they are forced to pass, last week was an example of that. Arkansas secondary is not even close to being the same quality of Florida's. Besides Jones, Bama doesn't have tons of proven wr's. It will be a great match-up having Jenkins who is a top cover corner vs Jones who is a top wr. If Florida's dt's are as good as they are hyped up to be, Bama will not run as effectively as they do on everyone else. They will still move the ball, but the key really is to stop Ingram out of the Pistol formation, he is averaging 15 yards a carry out of that formation.
