Let's all remember that the 2011 NBA MVP was Derrick Rose.

So as much shit as Lebron James gets for playing well but not dominating the 2011 NBA Finals.

I think triple the shit should go to D.Rose who was awful in the 2011 NBA Playoffs from start to finish.

Let's have a little consistency.

Rose didn't have two superstars at his side.

[Edited on June 12, 2011 at 11:48 PM. Reason : Rose was the only good offensive player on his team.]

^I'm on board but this is not why. Kobe didn't even win a game against these Mavs.

I disagree. Kobe was shit this year in the playoffs, and his track record at the end of big games is way overblown. Sure, he's aggressive in the 4th, but he's missed way more clutch shots than he's made.

hahaha, the Bulls are the most stacked team in the league and D.Rose destroys their title hopes almost singlehandedly and you have people come out of the woodwork saying the Heat were better than the Bulls so you cant blame D.Rose after he melts down.

The Kobe myth died 7-8 years ago after everyone realized he wasn't that good. So good luck with that.

The internet has brought so much truth to the world that you can't just be an opinionated idiot anymore, sorry fellas.

What player on the bulls can get to the basket on his own?

The bulls are stacked with defensive players and boozer. Boozer is a pick and pop midrange guy that plays no defense and was tailor made for the Sloan offense. The bulls need a real starting shooting guard and they will be ready.

It doesn't matter how many good players you have if you are one dimensional it will show in the playoffs.

Lebron made a huge mistake by not going to Chicago this offseason, everyone knew that at the time.

He chose stardom over championships and he got what he wanted. Stardom without a championship.

At the same time he's still going to wake up tomorrow with a chance to be the best basketball player of all-time. That's not the definition of a failure even though he made a bad decision.

how many more playoff losses before lebron moves to the dessert for the summer and grows a big fro and bead, then comes back and destroys?

lebron will prob go down as one of the more talented players of all time, but we'll see if has the smarts/work ethic to make it as one the BEST players. he needs to learn to take over games when he isnt the focus and/or his outside shot isnt falling. he cant let a jason kidd shut him down.

the thing with lebron is he seems to be regressing, people are forgetting he pretty much was jordan two yrs ago in the playoffs with the cavs, and he was taking over every aspect of the games

anyhow I wonder if the mavs can repeat, they did all of this without butler but he may really start to decline but keeping their roster intact next yr they should have a decent shot at it

and damn did peja play at all this series? his defense must have just been atrocious to have cardinal play over him

I think it's pretty impressive how dominate Jordan was. Jordan was so dominate, that his legacy is affecting the decisions of players who never once played against him. LeBron saw 6 as the magic number, and thought, "shit, at my age, I have to start winning NOW. Guess I should go to South Beach." He obviously has no respect for the process of working your way to the top. He tried to take a shortcut so that he could spend time to brand his image as a world champion instead of actually putting in the work to do so. And now, as a result, he's hated in the NBA, people don't respect him as a competitor, and he's totally lost his mojo. He's like a Greek tragedy, this guy.

It's crazy to think that had Jordan not taken his hiatus, the Bulls would have won not a repeat, not a three peat, or even a four peat. We're talking a minimum eight peat.

The Heat lost in game 6 of the NBA finals with a team that was thrown together 8-9 months ago. I don't think calling their team a total failure is really appropriate.

Don't forget that he also choked/quit when he was with the cavs too.

I don't understand how rally continues to say that Lebron played well in the series. Look, we don't judge players at his level the same way we do a Mario Chalmers.

He was brutal down the stretch in 5 of the 6 games. If you want to say he played well in the series then you are basically admitting he isn't an elite player (which is false).

I had to lol to myself looking at the +/- for Game 6:

Wade +3
Bosh +4
Dirk -4
Terry +13
LeBron -24

Is that accurate? How could the Heat have sucked that much with LeBron in when he only missed like 7 minutes of the game?

James, no rings and choked/quit/didn't show up in the finals.

Everyone says that.

I for one get tired of every athlete acting like a politician and saying the same cliche responses to everything. If they were acting like Allen Iverson or Stephen Jackson I would get all the hate, but they generally just act like every person who plays competitive basketball when they aren't in front of a camera.

The flopping and whining are completely legitimate reasons to hate, but talking about the coach getting fired or the team getting blown up is just stupid after coming within 2 games of the title.

everyone says they want to win a title, NOT everyone throws a championship-esque party before the season even starts and claims that they will win 6-7 championships

LBJ, Wade and Bosh are all cocky pricks who acted like it was a foregone conclusion that they would win a title since they thought they couldnt be stopped once they joined the same team.

The Mavs are representative of everything good about the NBA, the Heat represent everything bad about the NBA

They threw a pep rally to get the fans excited about the season. They do the same thing in high school and college and nobody gives a shit.

Everybody called it ballsy when Terry got a damn tattoo, but it's arrogant for Lebron to say their goal is to win multiple titles?

Dallas overall has that attitude because they were all older players that hadn't been successful. I'll bet you anything that in private they are all acting just like the heat now.

I think I compared LeBron James to 50 cent. I should have compared him to Matisyahu, because he's a King without a crown. Okay, that's my cheesy joke for the day. Back to work.

^Jordan never quit. even in defeat, he went down with 63 points against Bird and the Celtics. LeBron checks out of games when he's on the ropes. The dude just doesn't have that deranged competitive spirit you need to be dominant. That's why he went to Miami to begin with. He wants to go down as a winner, but he doesn't want to step on throats to get there.
