Looks like State is going to make an example of Leak

David Amerson, Tyrann Mathieu And Other Prospects Being “Shopped” By Man With An Empty Cart? http://www.sportsagentblog.com/2012/09/26/david-amerson-tyrann-mathieu-and-other-prospects-being-shopped-by-man-with-new-orleans-phone-number/
this after the Eric Leak situation.
Quote : | "With regards to NC State University corner back David Amerson, Weber says that he has been in contact with Craig Anderson (NC State Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance) since the beginning of the year. Weber claims that Anderson knows Weber has a relationship with Amerson and told Weber to wait until the end of the season to be involved in Amerson’s agent selection process. Sports Agent Blog has left a message with Anderson in an effort to confirm Weber’s statement." |
i'm sure D.Yow keeping a close eye on this. All we need now is more NC State Shit.9/26/2012 5:03:11 PM |

Is that a violation? As long as Amerson's not getting benefits and stuff, he is allowed to have contact with an agent/runner/whatever, right? It's definitely not ideal and I'm sure our compliance office would avoid the situation altogether though. I hope (and believe) that our athletic department and compliance office has learned enough from the UNC situation to properly address this situation. 9/26/2012 5:41:50 PM |

Yeah, they can talk to agents it's not a violation at all, although I believe we have team rules that they are supposed to go through the agent advisory board the university setup. It's only a violation if they receive any benefits, like parties in Miami.
I doubt this guy has even had any real conversations with Amerson though, all the rumors have pointed to him being a fake 9/27/2012 7:28:18 AM |

Thomas Teal named ACC Defensive Lineman of the week:
http://www.theacc.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/100812aaa.html
Quote : | "DEFENSIVE LINEMAN – Thomas Teal, NC State, RS Sophomore, DT, 6-2, 315, Bennettsville, S.C. Teal notched six tackles in the Wolfpack’s 17-16 win over No. 3 Florida State. The redshirt sophomore tackle had two tackles for loss as the Wolfpack held the Seminoles scoreless in the second half. Teal helped the defense hold Florida State to 3-for-15 on third down conversions. NC State also recorded four sacks against the Seminoles, a team that had yielded only six sacks in its previous five games." |

Quote : | "Biggest upset
1. NC State 17, Florida State 16: The Wolfpack erased a 16-0 deficit in the second half and stunned the then-No. 3 Seminoles on quarterback Mike Glennon's two-yard touchdown pass to Bryan Underwood with 16 seconds to play. Glennon completed three fourth-down passes on the winning drive to put a serious dent in FSU's BCS title hopes.
2. Louisiana-Monroe 34, Arkansas 31 OT: The Warhawks' stunning upset win knocked the Hogs out of the national rankings. Arkansas fell from No. 8 to unranked in the Associated Press Top 25 poll, the second-largest drop in the poll's history. No. 5 Michigan fell out of the poll after losing to FCS opponent Appalachian State 34-32 in its 2007 opener.
3. Central Michigan 32, Iowa 31: David Harman kicked a 47-yard field goal with three seconds left to give the Chippewas a stunning upset victory over the Hawkeyes on Sept. 22. Central Michigan scored the game's final nine points in the last 45 seconds. Quarterback Ryan Radcliff threw a 13-yard touchdown to Titus Davis with 45 seconds to play, and then CMU recovered an onside kick to set up the winning field goal." |
