we also became a bunch of undisciplined fuckheads towards the end of amato's tenure. seemed like there was a penalty on every play in some of those games. seems unlikely that would've changed with wilson at qb.

I still think it's funny that in Chuck's final season he beat TOB with Daniel Evans (thanks mostly to some poor coaching and time management by TOB)...on his way to a 3-9 final record. And then we turned around and hired TOB.

(not that simply Chuck beating TOB makes TOB a bad coach or anything...just funny how it worked)

I would definitely take Chuck back. Recruited his ass off and at least with Chuck NC State football was relevant outside of Raleigh. People south of Virginia, east of Tennessee and north of South Carolina KNEW Chuck Amato and NC State

I dunno if you're serious or not. Amato did bring some relevance to our program, sure. But in hindsight, much of that should be attributed to Rivers. It was evident, post-Rivers, that Amato was not a good head coach.

College football fans knew Chuck, though. I used to live in Big 10 country during the TOB years, and fans would (on more than one occasion) what happened to "the guy with the sunglasses." I'm in Pac 3000 country now, and people still remember him.

Personality goes a long way toward people remembering you. Everyone knows Mike Gundy (and how old he is). Same goes for Mike Leach, etc.

Well its quite obvious how nobody on the other team's get injured until we jump into our hurry up. Then all the sudden you got dudes falling down with 2 play injuries...i mean...come on now.

New rule needs to be if you go down injured, you miss the rest of the drive. If you're injured bad enough that you need to stop play, then you should be injured bad enough to miss the rest of the drive.
