Anyone interested in a 67 Gnome Lock, 63 NE Druid, and 62 NE Rogue on the same PvP server?

I'm looking to trade for a 70 warrior, hunter, or priest (but will consider almost anything other than a mage). Gear doesn't matter too much, prefer horde - shoot me a PM if interested.

i think ravager is the goto pet for raid DPS.

I for one will be keeping a cat as the difference isn't significant enough to have that ugly pos by my side.

Check out petopia and play around with Cheeky's hunter dps spreadsheet.

Why is is it so hard to find a decent resto druid. seems like people want them for 3s because they are insanely OPed or something, weird.

Ravager+Gore+Bite (with go for the throat and focus insipration)

I get around 220-240 DPS out of him on heroics. Best I have seen off a pet.

^ k.. thats what i was wondering... i had bite on him before, but noticed a small dps drop. I have just gore on him now (and growl), but only use gore in raids...

with a decent crit chance, bestial discipline and go for the throat, i find i can use claw and focus dump on bite effectively. I assume it's the same with gore/bite, I can't remember the focus req. for it.

I recently started playing again a couple of months ago after taking a year off. I have a 60 feral druid and 48 frost mage on my old server, Eonar (as well as several alts), and my new main is a 53 affliction warlock on Elune. All are Alliance-cue the "Alliance sucks, Horde ftw" comments.

I saw a lot of posts early on about guilds but after searching for them on the armory, I couldn't find them. I'd be willing to transfer one or more of my toons to a PVE alliance realm or else start a new toon (in that case, faction and server don't matter) so I could get in a guild with people from NCSU.

My guild is PvE Alliance oriented on Bloodhoof, just entering SSC now. I think about 6 of the guildies work at the same place here in Raleigh including the GM and then a few more go to NCSU or live in the area.

I think most of the other guilds present in this thread lately are Horde side.

gore is on 10 second cool down.

if your criting, your pet should be getting a lot of focus. Enough focus to use bite a few times between Gores.

"Gore

Summary: Gores the enemy, causing damage. This attack has a 50% chance to inflict double damage.

Active
Cost: 25 Focus
Range: Melee Range
Cast Time: Instant
Can be learned by: Boars, Ravagers "

gore has no cooldown hidden or otherwise....

you can gore as fast as you regen the focus... and if you're spitting out more than 60 focus a global cooldown you are gods gift to hunters and you should buy a lottery ticket.

Quote :
"Bite

Summary: Bite the enemy, causing damage.

Active
Cost: 35 Focus
Range: Melee Range
Cast Time: Instant
Cooldown: 10 sec
Can be learned by: Bats, Bears, Boars, Carrion Birds, Cats, Crocolisks, Dragonhawks, Gorillas, Hyenas, Nether Rays, Raptors, Ravagers, Serpents, Spiders, Tallstriders, Turtles, Warp Stalkers, Windserpents, Wolves
Notes:

Bite is a very straight-forward damaging ability. Because it has a 10 second cooldown timer, it is not as useful for dumping excess focus as Claw or Gore, and therefore isn't quite as popular.

But Bite remains an essential skill for a large number of pet families, either as their primary means of dealing physical damage or as an additional damaging skill for use when the timer is up. In fact, Bite is the most widespread active pet skill: it is available to the vast majority of pet families. "

so I assume you're talking about bite. but! bite will take priority over gore so you'll waste focus on bite when they're both up

On another note, does anyone know if there's a way to install/play WoW on the Learning Commons computers or laptop loaners? I called them and they said you can't install things, but they didn't seem very sure of it. Since they have all sorts of videogames to play, maybe it's possible to install WoW?

you don't have to "install" WOW. Just put your entire folder onto a DVD-R and copy it to the desktop or something. If you have permission to run the .exe it should work.

Also, if anyone needs quick cash selling their accounts PM me, I just sold my UD mage to this dude and everything went swimmingly. Albeit, it's not what you'd get selling directly to a goon on SA or on CL, but it's quick cash nonetheless.

General

* Characters will now retain talented spell ranks so when they retalent they do not have to relearn the spells from trainers. (Source)
* Spell Haste: Spell haste now reduces the global cooldown on spells, down to a minimum of 1 second. This change does not apply to melee and ranged abilities. (Source)
* Patch 2.4 will remove the restriction for Ritual of Summoning that prevents you from summoning players into instances. Provided the player meets the instance requirements, you'll be able to summon them in from anywhere in the world. (Source)

World

* (1) Summoning restrictions in Netherstorm have been lifted. (Source - Elitistjerks)

* Gems obtained through Heroic difficulty instances are no longer Unique-equipped. (Source)
* Players will now be able to purchase level 70 Superior quality (blue) PvP items from reputation vendors in Outland. (Source)

PvP

* Players will now be able to purchase level 70 Superior quality (blue) PvP items from reputation vendors in Outland. (Source)
* We've reached a point where we're now confident that applying diminishing returns to honor is no longer necessary, and we're currently planning to remove it with the 2.4 patch. (Source)
* Players that have the resurrection sickness debuff will not be worth any honor, and if a player dies 50 times or more during a battleground they won’t be worth any honor for the remainder of that battle. (Source)
* What the removal of diminishing returns means for you is that as soon as you defeat an opponent that rewards you honor, you will receive that honor, and you will be able to spend it right then. There will no longer be an estimate, and you will no longer need to wait until the next day until you can actually spend it. Your achievements through honor-based PvP will be instantaneous. (Source)

Yeah because you don't have to sacrifice all of your spell hit / crit to get like more than 60 spell hit or anything.

We might be able to compete with the 1200dps hunters now without having the holy grail for gear.

the guilds that can kill them wouldn't waste time on them. Epic gems sell for way more, and the gear they drop isn't that great. If you can kill them then you aren't far from downing just a few more bosses in SSC/TK with a little patience and weeks of attempts.

right because being able to play 3 classes isn't enough. You have to be able to play all three better than their intended counterparts.

i two box a lot, but nowhere near like those two mages farming runecloth in strat, or this 5x shaman aelli.

the most hardcore shit i've done is setup my old saitek programable 6-10 button pad on my laptop, set it next to my number pad and macro shit tons of heals to a druid account. then farm U/LBRS on my rogue when all those argent dawn parts dropped and the greater fire pot recipe still fetched a decent amount of gold.

Definitely gonna have to read this forum now though, thanks for the link.

^^^^ yeah the forum is awesome, all the info on how to do it is free and the people are nice as hell.

Duel/triple/quad/five boxing is where you have multiple instances of wow running on one badass or a few different computers. You then use either software or hardware and macros to link all of them to a single keyboard. It's hard to do but it seems like it would be fun. It requires a separate account for each clone so it can be a bit expensive but imo once i'm done ill sell off three and make my money back and then some. Typical setups are 4x lock and holy priest or 4x shamans. Melle doesnt work that well so any ranged would work. Id bet that 4 or 5 linked ice mages running around would put a dent in some shit.

Also, not illegal according to blizzard.

ahaha...yea, mages and locks everywhere are losing their spots to moonkins.

rogues are losing their spots to cats.

warriors are losing their spots to bears (may have been true up to TK. you're hard pressed to find a MT druid in hyjal or BT)

forgive me if i dont delete all my other characters and stop wasting my time on alts because of a slight buff to lacerate.
