my cousin is a 28yo married mother of one and is 2 months pregnant with her 2nd child. they found a tumor during one of her exams and did some tests. she just found out this week that it's cancer. cervical cancer, and they've yet to run tests to determine if (or how far) it has spread. she must terminate the pregnancy, immediately undergo a full hysterectomy, and begin chemo treatments right away.

why do these kinds of things happen to the people who least deserve them?

for serious. what is with this year. its like everyone i knows (or "know" in the case of tww) lives are going to hell in a handbasket (i just wanted to use that phrase). but seriously. so much bad shit has happened this year to a LOT of people.

i know bad shit happens to a lot of people all the time, but i just feel like its more than usual.
