right now though peter has the ultimate power, which is hiro's. i was half expecting him to rewind time to save simone. which i guess could still happen. I'm also wondering whether they are gonna pull some bullshit that it wasn't hiro who rewound time and stopped the bullet but maybe ando is getting some sort of power.

This week was damn incredible! Poor Simone. Peter could reverse time, but I'm not sure if he realizes it.

If you read the graphic novels, you know that the needle is used to put a tracking isotope in people with abilities.

I was stoked to see that Stan Lee was appearing in this episode. He must have become a fan, and if he offers a bit of creative input I can't imagine where and how far this show can go.

I want to see the eventual fight between Peter and Sylar last a whole episode, but I'd settle for a good twenty minutes. I'm glad to see Sylar struggling with an ability he's decided he wanted. Sylar can definitely levitate with his telekinesis, or perhaps he killed someone else with the ability to fly. Either way, he can, and he did it back when he escaped Parkman and Audrey at the FBI place when he went after the little girl early in the season. He's a scary bitch, but I think he's no match for Peter.

I think Claude did his part and broke Peter's "rose-colored glasses".

Already a small influence. The older patrelli brother said "if he was in charge he would round up all the people with abilities and put them in a lab on an island somewhere." This is a recurring theme in the X-Men comics.

Not sure who reversed the bullet...hope it is Hiro, but got a feeling they may play it off with Ando...If he and Simone end up having powers, I probably won't like it, but will go along with it...b/c I am not the writer, and I love this show.

Excellent Episode...I agree with others, When Peter and Sylar get it on, it needs to be 15-20 minute fight scene, no BS 2 minute tease....

friggin awesome episode, one of my favorites yet. i see what you all were saying about how boring the nikki/micah/dl storyline is. i think the absence of that storyline had a positive effect on this episode.

i wonder how much longer theyre gonna keep introducing characters..wireless girl? uhhh.

for some reason i'm still thinking nathan is bad...at least to some degree.

i still think linderman is at the middle of this...somehow.
for example it was no coincidence that parkman, a hero, was hired as the bodyguard of the guy that linderman was planning on killing. nikki had specific instructions to kill parkman too.

and that bullet rewind was a bit odd. seems like hiro didn't realize he did it (which implies that he didnt). there might be some ando tie in...or something else.

any theories on whats going on with sylar? is just a simple hes getting used to his new power of hearing and is picking up too much? or is he absorbing too many powers and its having an effect? maybe the same think that causes peter to blow up.

and cant wait for next week and learning about bennett

No, it doesn't. Multiple Hiros can exist at the same time, from different timelines, until the time that the "last" Hiro leaves his time to save something.

I'm not sure what happened in that scene exactly, but it could easily have been another Hiro from the future that "fixed" things for him then.

And Simone nor Ando has powers.

Hiro simply closed his eyes and used his powers, but he doesnt want to believe that he did it. While part of him wants to believe he hasnt lost his powers hes become so convinced that he needs to find the sword to use his powers, I dont think he will use them openly till he gets the sword.

did anybody else catch this....the bullet was reversed without time reversing. as soon as the bullet went back in the gun, the woman was tackled, if time was reversed, that would imply she was tackled prior to shooting, which she wasn't! either the writers went slack or Hiro cna actually stop and reverse time on individual objects without stopping the world around him, which would make him unstoppable in he coudl control it

I loved Peters last scene....to me it showed that he stills has some growing up to do. Shows that he still cannot think/rationalize a situation...and that he has very little control over his temperment. Even though he did kill Simone, his actions and lack of tack escalated the situation. I don't see it as bad acting, but rather a person with anger/anxiety issues and hell of alot going on.

I hope to see more of Peter using his powers and actually becoming more of a rational adult.

i forget exactly what happened with charlie, but didn't hiro say he couldn't use his powers to go back and save someone from death? which would imply simone is gone for good.

yeah, there was definitely some more time-manipulation going on. First, the bullet did actually go backwards. Second, the cops showed up way too quickly. It felt to me like he stopped time for her and the bullet, reversing the bullet and "freezing" them and the girl, but allowing the cops time to get there and tackle her.

and it was definitely Hiro using his powers. The whole "i need the sword" is obviously not real, and he still has powers and can use them when he concentrates.

that's exactly what I think...Hiro still doesn't have the best control over his powers yet, and with his fixation on the sword he's in denial. he'll control it at some point since he time travelled to Peter on the subway however many episodes back.

yeah that was pretty sweet. that bit alone makes me believe it is more of a control issue than being multiple Hiros. But I do like the multiple-Hiro possibility since we already have seen two times where there's two Hiros (present-Hiro went back to save Charlie and called himself in Japan; and when future-Hiro visited Peter on the subway and present-Hiro was in Vegas)...we'll see how the writers take it.
i'm glad him and ando finally parted ways too.

i hope that sylar not adjusting very well to dale's super-hearing power will inhibit him in using his other ones. inhibit by driving him crazy; not able to focus on just one b/c of its interference. but before he killed her off, it was badass that dale picked up his heartbeat like that--"You nervous or something??" hahahaha

overall, bad ass episode...how many more til the season finale? anyone know?

I'm not saying you're wrong about him being able to use his powers without the sword, but using the subway jump as justification isn't correct since he had his sword with him when he jumped onto the subway. That's how he knows about the sword in the first place.
