I guess Hoyt, Tara, Terry, and Arlene are the only non-supernatural beings. I was holding out on Lafayette but I guess he's possessed by some witch or ghost or whatever now. I also kind of find it humorous as to the number of hot girls that are in this tiny middle of nowhere Lousiana town. Since episode one, either Sam has been hiring them or Jason has been chasing them.

^^^I can't stand her. Ever since the opening scene of the pilot (where she's working at some Walmart type store) and opened her mouth it's just been, ugh, horrible.

a blog i used to read, called Blood Bonds Blog, (which is heavily book fan based, so lots of spoilers) that recapped the show made the Buffy comparison a long time ago (again mainly b/c of the books)...it is pretty interesting how similar that is. So I'd talk to Charlaine Harris before Alan Ball and his writing team.

anywho! finally watched last week's episode having gotten a friend's HBO Go login (we moved, cancelled Dish, i've been HBO-less and ). Glad I'll be able to watch tonight's episode at some point tomorrow.

I thought it was a good episode. Totally called it on Tommy shifting in to a person! Oh, and other non-supernaturals...ANDY! Don't forget Andy.

When Jason was charging Bill's house and was tackled, the guard then pointed a gun at him. When Jessica was going for the door, did anybody else hear what sounded like a gunshot? So I'm guessing Jason shot the guard, the guard shot Jason, or the guard's gun is discharged in a struggle. Regardless, I think Jason heroically saves Jessica and that begins their relationship.... poor Hoyt.

I think it's about time for Jessica to move on with her career. To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if they killed her off. She was never a character in the books so it makes it easier.

I wish they would do the same for Tara.

^^^definitely. She is such a terrible actress. That whole scene afterwards where she's in the car with her "yellowtail" ( <3 Pam for that little pun) was just awful. Then her crying breakdown was even less believable and more annoying to watch.

i really hope they don't kill her, and I'd be surprised if they do. She's one of the most interesting characters on the show and adds a lot of potential to the story. She's a new vampire, the audience can learn a lot about vampires and the mental and emotional progression from being a human, to having that taken from you, to embracing being a vampire (which she is really doing this season), learning about the history of the vampires, etc.

Incorrect! She is just not nearly as a big of a character. She's still Sookie's best friend, not nearly as "woe as me" as TV Tara although she does have a troubled childhood of alcoholic parents, and she owns a clothing store in Shreveport.
