I'll second Headhunters, but not quite as highly. It's a good thriller.

Fiance out of town = getting to watch a bunch of movies on Netflix that I know she wouldn't like.Revolver: Meh.Bronson: Liked Tom Hardy before this movie...love him now. Dude is bad ass (as an actor and in general). Movie is interesting, to say the least.
11/28/2012 9:38:02 PM
is that the one about the badass prisoner? looked good, havent been in the right mood to watch it yet though
11/28/2012 9:45:59 PM
I'll second bronson, great movie. be ready for a bunch of man dick
11/28/2012 9:56:46 PM
I don't mind seeing Tom Hardy's flaccid dick on-screen. Makes me feel much better about my own "grower not a show-er"
11/28/2012 9:59:48 PM
Has anybody streamed Star Trek TOS and noticed that some are remastered, while others aren't? I have been watching them since the Pilot with my family, and watched Obsession tonight. In it the planets and exterior shots looked like absolute ass. When I looked it up on Memory Alpha, sure enough they were the original effects. But they remastered them all so WTF?
12/7/2012 7:31:06 PM
Friday Night Lights was indeed a great showi am about 7-8 episodes into My Name Is Earl which I hadn't ever watchedpretty good show, I'll probably eventually watch them all
12/10/2012 1:00:09 AM
The first season of Earl is great. Gets pretty meh after that.
12/10/2012 8:41:08 AM
watched "craigslist joe" documentary where a guy lives off craigslist people for a month. not a wasted 90 minutes but i wish more adversity happened to him.
12/10/2012 9:14:35 AM

German movie "Hell" was good if you like post apocalyptic, and dont mind subtitles.
12/25/2012 2:57:51 AM
"MUTANTS"a good French survival zombie movie.Primarily focuses on 2 people holed up in a building.
12/26/2012 1:05:53 AM

12/26/2012 11:05:49 PM
Don't know if anyone has mentioned it here or not, but I watched "Bernie" last night and absolutely loved it. Jack Black was perfect in it and it also has Shirley MacLaine and Mathew McConaughey. It's funny and a really good(true) story.
1/6/2013 2:58:57 PM
Went back and rewatched the first 2 seasons of Portlandia on Netflix over the past week or two. Still really enjoyed it. Certainly some sketches that weren't great but it is enjoyable.
1/8/2013 10:10:59 AM
I recently watched The Company Men starring Ben Affleck and Tommy Lee Jones. Really enjoyed it. Good dramatic performances from both men.I followed that up with Take This Waltz, the indie film with Michelle Williams. It was good, albeit slightly depressing.
1/8/2013 10:41:00 AM
3^ I loved Bernie, and while their performances were great the best part of that movie is the townfolk commentary of the mockumentary.
1/8/2013 12:10:18 PM
^yep, they were great. My favorite line was when they were discussing whether or not he was gay and one of them says something along the lines of "...that dog don't hunt"
1/8/2013 8:00:21 PM
The Eiger Sanction.... Clint Eastwood and ladies with nice tits.
1/8/2013 8:52:34 PM

?"I mean, she'd rip you a brand new three bedroom 2 bath double-wide asshole."
1/13/2013 12:16:21 AM
i'm a little over halfway through Casino Jack (Kevin Spacey as Jack Abramoff)...pretty good flick
1/13/2013 3:52:38 AM
i watched "Whores' Glory". holy shit it's depressing. "To experience it is to be haunted by the bleakness and ugliness of prostitution, the hopeless trap of it, and the defeat of love that it represents"
1/13/2013 10:47:05 AM
Bernie was great. I loved the old short haired blonde lady who talked about the apostles being bachelors but not gay.Queen of Versailles wasn't as funny or as interesting as I thought it would be.
1/13/2013 12:11:30 PM
Eiger Sanction was pretty solidbut i wish Buns had FDT
1/17/2013 12:07:40 AM
I saw that Primer was on there earlier. It's worth a watch if you've never seen it and it sounds remotely interesting to you.
1/18/2013 10:39:46 PM
Primer is soooooo good!!!We are watching Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. I love these kind of movies.
1/18/2013 10:50:43 PM

1/19/2013 2:56:16 PM

1/19/2013 5:17:29 PM
i'll have to see Bernie again.I found the pacing to be droll and most characters to be unlikeable. But I'll give it another go.
1/19/2013 9:09:01 PM
1/19/2013 11:04:29 PM
while hey now was correct in saying What About Earl wasn't as good after the first season, I have about 3 more episodes left in season 4 to finish the series and was fairly pleased overallbut I need a new TV show to watch on nights when movies are too longany suggestions?
1/19/2013 11:38:17 PM

well shit, got me, I'm watching dr who but not sure you'd like it
1/20/2013 12:10:13 AM
old school dr. who? or do they have a new one?i enjoyed re-watching a bunch of old school twilight zone episodes
1/20/2013 12:12:54 AM
I've been watching the old ones, but they have new ones that started in 2005, they're good in a twilight zone meets weird british humor kind of way[Edited on January 20, 2013 at 12:15 AM. Reason : both are on netflix]
1/20/2013 12:15:13 AM
that'll workthanksalso to contribute something to the thread instead of just taking from it, I watched Margin Call the other night, movie with Kevin Spacey about the crash of the wall street market a few years ago...it was ok, i'm sure had some historical accuracy, but a lot of the acting seemed shitty despite the story being something that they could've made better than they did[Edited on January 20, 2013 at 12:21 AM. Reason : .]
1/20/2013 12:17:04 AM
dr who and torchwood : children of men are def solid to pass the time.dr who gets a bit cheesy at times, but it's entertaining (ps : if you do watch torch wood ... skip season 1 and 2 and just try and pick up on the characters with s3 :children of men. great mini series, but s1 and 2 blow)
