^^I would go Hillis and Tolbert. Moreno is out, and the Cowboys have said that Felix Jones will be getting a lot more carries going forward. Hillis is a must-start, Tolbert and Barber might be a toss-up, but I think Tolbert will get some goal line carries and has the higher chance to score this week
pick my two RB this week. we get 1/2 point per reception
Ray Rice vs. Denver Cedric Benson vs. TB Michael Bush vs. SD Ryan Torain vs. GB Fred Jackson vs. Jax
I'm actually leaning toward Rice and Torain right now. Benson has a good matchup against TB, but then again he had a good matchup last week vs. Cleveland and only got 60 yards on 15 carries. Torain has got a lot of praise from Shanahan, and Green Bay's run defense has given up a league leading amount of YPC (something like 5.6 ypc). I am almost tempted to start Torain and Bush since they both will get a ton of carries and are hungry to impress their coaches. I feel like Rice and Benson are slacking off this year. Rice is going up against a Denver defense that shut down MJD and CJ2K, plus he doesnt get the goal-line carries. I'm so on the fence with this decision, any opinions are appreciated 10/8/2010 11:09:26 AM |

yeah, no kidding. All I know is, I gotta make the right call this week, I have had two great games and two clunkers in my league so far, I cant afford another 6.5 point combined effort out of my two starting RBs like Rice and Benson did for me last week 10/8/2010 11:16:28 AM |

Should I drop Donald Brown to pick up Shaun Hill (@STL) for this week or just take the loss? I have Vick, Cutler, and Big Ben. -_-
3-1 going up against peyton and yahoo projects ~122 pts for my matchup and 99 for me sans QB and DEF (MIA bye). 10/8/2010 12:15:03 PM |

Why do you give a shit about keeping Donald Brown? Pick up Hill and a defense and go for the win. Drop Cutler if you have to get another D, its not like you would play him if over Big Ben or Vick in the coming weeks.

I've been wondering the same thing. This is from Yahoo:
Quote : | " Hillis (thigh) will not practice Friday, but coach Eric Mangini said he doesn't think the injury will be a problem in Sunday's game against Atlanta, the Cleveland Plain Dealer's Mary Kay Cabot reports. Recommendation: Generally a player missing Friday's practice is a major reason for concern, but if Mangini is to be believed, Hillis should be good to go Sunday. The matchup against Atlanta's 11th-ranked run defense doesn't seem to be ideal, but that ranking is a bit misleading, since the Falcons have allowed three of the four lead backs they've faced to account for more than 120 yards from scrimmage. Hillis seems like he'll be a good play once again, but be sure to check back Sunday morning to make sure the thigh injury doesn't land him on the inactive list." |
So it doesn't seem to be serious, but just check back an hour or so before gametime.10/8/2010 12:27:23 PM |

also, now that Pierre Thomas is "very unlikely" to play this Sunday against Arizona, who should I replace him with? Non-ppr league
Jonathan Stewart vs. Chicago (he's bound to do something at some point, right???) Chris Ivory @ Arizona (Arizona has a terrible run defense, so Ivory could put up decent numbers even though he is sharing time with Ladell Betts) Ladell Betts @ Arizona (see above) Jerome Harrison vs. Atl (didnt get a single carry last week, but if Hillis cant go he might get some good playing time) Tim Hightower vs. NO Willis McGahee vs. Denver

McCoy is BACK!
Quote : | "Coach Andy Reid said Friday that McCoy, who is listed as questionable with a cracked rib, will be full go for Sunday's game against San Francisco, ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports.
Spin: Because the Eagles don't play until Sunday night (probably well past the time that you'd be able to sub in a replacement), this was shaping up as a potential nightmare scenario for McCoy owners. However, Reid threw us a bone by saying he expects McCoy to play, so unless you have a clear-cut safer option, you can probably roll the dice with McCoy this week and feel fairly confident in his availability." |

^^ Mathews re-aggravated his ankle injury so Tolbert gets the start against the Raiders. Many more scoring opportunities than Bush, running against the 2nd worst run D in the league.

^ I think Moss becomes Favre's new goal line target.
Starting 2 WRs and a 3rd as Flex (with McFadden out and Ricky Williams on a bye week I have no RBs to flex)
Larry Fitzgerald vs New Orleans DeSean Jackson @ SF Malcolm Floyd @ Oakland
Kevin Walter vs New York Giants Demaryius Thomas @ Baltimore
Assuming I start Fitzgerald (even though their QB situation is killing his value, Jackson, and Floyd). Andre Johnson should be back so Walter should play his normal role.
Also Bradford @ Lions or Flacco vs Denver?
Just moved McFadden and Vick to IR slots to make room for McCoy, whose owner foolishly dropped him in league. Roy Williams is available, as is Fitzpatrick (vs Jacksonville) and Shawn Hill (vs Rams) if either of those is an upgrade for one of my guys. Thinking of picking up Roy Williams even if I don't start him, and potentially dropping Demaryius Thomas to keep him when McFadden/Vick returns.

Panthro what do you think:
RB Steven Jackson, StL RB RB LeSean McCoy, Phi RB RB/WR Brandon Lloyd, Den WR WR Malcom Floyd, SD WR WR Terrell Owens, Cin WR
Ryan Mathews, SD RB should I play him instead of one of the starters I listed above? (kinda skeptical about his ankle and SD's use of Tolbert) I'm also iffy on McCoys endurance, if he gets hit pretty hard it could easily make his rib worse. But he's my top RB and Phi doesn't have a decent backup.

Would it be crazy to bench Fitzgerald this week for Walter, with the Max Hall QB issues, no healthy 2nd WR in Arizona, and Max Hall (bad QB plus even more coverage rolled to Fitzgerald). Jacoby Jones is out and Andre Johnson looks very questionable.

These injuries are really making me scramble. I'm having to almost stream RBs with Jackson and McCoy battling injuries and Shonn Greene not really being used as the feature back. I had Green-Ellis last week, but had to replace him with Torain with the bye.
So my question is this:
Steven Jackson is a given even though he is still a bit banged up.
but
McCoy or Torain this week? Leaning Torain just because of the rib issue.
(also I picked up Garcon who should right in at the #2 WR with Collie banged up -- but I'd rather obviously play Andre Johnson)
^ MJD will have a huge game and will probably be the best receiver too again against that defense, but man I just don't trust Garrard... even against Buffalo.

Leaning towards Jackson (he is a must play all the time) and then either LT or Tolbert... don't know which one though. Definitely don't think Barber is a play, but maybe torain? I DON'T KNOW.... HALP!!

Gotta go LT in that situation. Once WAS starts getting blown out by GB, they will abandon the run. Tolbert has to share carries with Matthews. I'd go with Carolina's D. There should be a good number of picks and sacks today for them.
Pick 2 players to start:
Santana Moss vs GB Fred Jackson vs DEN Kevin Walters vs NYG Ryan Matthews vs OAK
I'm leaning towards Jackson and Walters because Jackson will get the majority of the carries today and Walters will be the #1 target with Johnson out. However Moss could have a big game today so I'm stuck. Matthews look good last week as well. 10/10/2010 9:51:32 AM |
