i thought mine initially was a break out - i am prone to breaking out in that area especially right around the time of my period. this all started the week my period was supposed to start.......well then the pimples never went away so i thought okay they'll go away once i start my new pill pack. well that came and went and now it's been 3 weeks and i noticed last week that the "pimples" are more like blisters and the area is very raw and red and hurts

what say you ladies on these boots?

http://www.zappos.com/product/7840392/color/53358

They are a little on the plain side but they fit my 16" calf circumference and they are water resistant.

Cons are that they are synthetic (which isn't a big deal to me) and like I said they are a bit plain which isn't that bothersome either to me.

I like them cause they look like they could go with anything and would be wearable in any crappy philly winter weather. Plus they look like they are made for comfort which I wholly support. But I thought I'd ask you to see if you think they are straight up ugly or if you guys have seen something similar or would fit the loose guidelines I laid out above.

CassTheSass, I believe you have peri-oral dermatitis. I had it last year and had to go on antibiotics to get rid of it. Several things can cause it...toothpaste, oral steroids, too many facial products or facial products containing sodium lauryl sulfate. Peri-oral dermatitis is not acne and should not be treated as such. Do NOT use harsh soaps or acne fighting products. Make-up will make it worse. Hope this helps!

My MIL had peri-oral dermatitis and was told to stop using tooth paste with fluoride and given a cream and it went away. It was raw red patches around her mouth. She too initially thought it was a breakout. You might want to try using children's toothpaste along with a hydrocortizone cream and see if it goes away.

Interesting - I use all natural toothpaste and have been for a long time. I'll check the ingredients though and see what the deal is. Right now I use Toms.

PS - I can't use a lot of creams that have cortisol in it because of my sensitivity

I should have been more specific. Training toothpaste. Infant/Toddler toothpaste for children learning to brush their teeth is fluoride free because of their tendency to swallow it.

Okay so I just checked my toothpaste and it definitely has sodium lauryl sulfate.

Also I don't know how this got past me the first time but it has carageenan in it, which is a sulfite so yeah I'll be buying new toothpaste this week. I thought I would be safe with the all natural stuff. Argh frustrating. Maybe switching will help.

Cass, you may have to resort to just straight up baking soda. My father in law just dips his toothbrush in a cup of baking soda to brush his teeth and his dentist says that his teeth are in excellent shape.

OMG! Thanks, LunaK!

^^^ & ^^ Love both of those boots.

I'm ignorant... what's the deal with Frye boots? I'm not really familiar with them. Why are they so popular around here?

Also, I love my Matisse boots. What's the difference with the Coconuts line?

Anyway, thanks for the boot porn!

I have been wanting a pair for YEARS! I knew about them because of my dad. I have never owned a pair because I can't bring myself to pay about $400 for some boots but I found mine on sale. Finally, my day for Frye boots has come and Diva likes them, too!!!

I ordered some of these when I ordered my Hue leggings because they were cheap and I figured if they didn't work out I could sleep in them.

http://www.amazon.com/Angelina-Full-Length-Seamless-Leggings/dp/B008NCYALM/ref=pd_ybh_20

$9.99

They are like really thick footless tights and I got them today (in gray) and I LOVE THEM! 1 down side (not for me, but for skinny girls) they are supposed to be one size fits all, but they fit pretty perfectly on me and I think they would be baggy on anyone with a smaller frame, and they would definitely be too long.

my purse came today the best part - the zipper at the bottom really zips up so i can make the bag smaller or expand it as needed.

I didn't buy one yet (at least i talked myself out of getting the pink one after having a look in my closet), because I decided I need another pair of boots more and maybe a bag in matching leather instead. but maybe I'll buy the blue one anyway, it goes with a lot of my stuff.

The pair i bought last winter is already getting a bit down at the heels. I guess I'll buy the same pair again in dark chocolate brown, since it's pretty much my only option.

I can't tell if the hardware is silver or goldtone and it's not written anywhere. blah.

I also need new glasses, beauty treatments and want to take some trips next month, so yeah. lil blue purse
