Good deal at FL-

Post Cereal is BOGO

buy 4 Use 2 $1/2 post cereal coupons and get a 3 dollar catalena

We rolled this 7X and spent less than 8 dollars for 28 boxes of cereal. It was my husband's favorite kind and we went through their stock to be sure we got the boxes that expire next year

"Anyone had good luck getting Kroger to grind a sirloin tip roast into burger for them?"

I'm sure they would.

I had them slice up a perfectly good roast for me for italian beef, and while the butcher dude gave me the strangest damn looks the whole time, he did as I asked.

Having roast ground would be slightly less weird, methinks

FYI, a handcrank grinder is either $15 or $20 at agrisupply.

I'm too lazy for a hand crank, and if they'll do it for me might as well. I know it used to be a common request, didn't know if most stores would still do that sort of thing. It's hard to find cheap lean beef (it's for tacos and spaghetti, so no worries about it being too dry)

Nvm, turns out Lowes has $2/lb 93% lean ground beef this week (and boneless chicken breasts too!) so I'm going there after work today to restock the freezer. Good thing Hefty bags are BOGO at the teeter, I'm running a bit low on freezer bags. $1/2 coupon in the 1-31 RP.

So say I want a 12 pack of pepsi, is there a site where it'll tell me who has the best sale on that this week, or do I have to look through 5 grocery fliers to figure that out?

speaking of what stores will do for you, my gf always ALWAYS brings home an entire pineapple and tells me to work my magic

i worked at HT and they will literally do ANYTHING you want to ANYTHING in that particular department. if a customer says they want it cut into figure eights then they will try their hardest and fail but they will try!

it usually pisses them off in the deli dept though when you make them slice it so thin that it registers cheese and meat for a few cents but its a great way to make a quick sandwich

Where can I actually get the more variety with cuts of beef?
I have given up on finding anything worthwhile at Food Lion which happens to be right by my house so if I need something, I'll go there.

I needed a skirt steak for this recipe I was making...they don't carry it. I knew skirt steak was part of the flank and a relatively inexpensive cut of meat but I couldn't find a substitution so I rang the little bell for the butcher...This guy did not know SHIT. I mean, I teach Tender/Less Tender cuts of meat and I asked a simple question and he is like..."Buy this" and picks up an expensive pack of sirloins. I tell him that is not what I need and can he suggest a steak similar to a skirt/flank...he cannot. I used my phone and asked about a hanger steak...still a no go.

Harris Teeter's butcher dept. has been good to me so far. I have bought fish and requested the still frozen stuff instead of what's in the case and it wasn't a problem (I don't want to make sushi with stuff that's been sitting out a couple days). I haven't really had any requests other than that though.

HT is the only store around that does triples. Lowes used to do triples but has stopped completely b/c they were "losing too much money"

I think I heard that HT might be doing triples in a few weeks

HT seems to be big on the super doubles now, which is ok if you're buying stuff like toothpaste and shaving cream, but usually not very helpful for everyday food items. i really hope a triple is coming soon, because we routinely save at least $50

There was supposed to be a grocery store called Bloom opening in Morrisville

I guess they finished construction on the building, signs were stating "future home of Bloom" and then Bloom backed out and is now saying that they have no intention to open that store.

There are supposed to be 2 Blooms opening in Cary. Hopefully these stores will actually open.

Bloom does doubles and triples so it will be a nice competitor for HT.

so will those 7.00 crest coupons double to 7.99 or will they just go through at face value?

Most of the time doubles are only on items up to .99, so the max value you can get is $1.98. If you have a $7 coupon then that's what you get off.

Super doubles is when they double things up to $1.99, so you can get up to $3.98 off of something.

Sunday's N/O (01/14) has coupons for $1 off when you buy two Mrs. T's Pierogies (in the freezer aisle) and a $1.50 off when you buy two Emerald Nuts products.

Both those items are on BOGO at Harris Teeter.

I got two tubs (20 ounces) of top (grocery store) quality nuts for $5.08 with tax.

And two boxes of pierogies for $1.88 with tax.

The nuts are a fucking steal. And at less than a dollar box, the pierogies cost what they should--I wouldn't pay more than a dollar for a pasta/potato concoction.

Anyway, coupons are in the paper and the BOGO deal is on 'til Thursday.

Sorry if this isn't an interesting deal. I'm new to couponing.

The nuts are a good price. I can never get free nuts (minus the pathetic "I'll give you a nut" jokes plz), that's about as good as I've been able to do. Pierogies, no idea since I can't eat them.

Free sobe life waters at target with a BOGO online Q and a target buy 10 get $5 GC deal. Can't find the original thread on hotcoupon or slickeals but it is pretty self explanatory. Not sure on end date.

Need some christmas gifts for a gift exchange or have any little cousins who need a quick gift?

You can buy Monopoly and connect 4 for $2.87 at target...yes, that is the TOTAL.

Do this:
Get regular monopoly (on sale for $7)
Get regular connect 4 (on sale for $7)

Go Here and click to page 2: http://print.coupons.com/Couponweb/Offers.aspx?pid=15162&zid=st48&nid=20
And print the $5 and $4 coupons for the two games.

THEN go to Target's website and find the "$3 off family night" coupon - go to http://www.target.com
click on coupons and click on toys and TA DA!

2 games for $2.87.

I got 4 from Knightdale Target and they still has tons left.

Okay, guys, I need the scoop.

I know Harris Teeter doubles/triples coupons that say "DO NOT DOUBLE OR TRIPLE" on them...as long as they double when they swipe because they have that little 5 at the start of the bar code.

BUT will they do this for internet printables? I've heard that sometimes they'll take those out of the stack and enter them manually which prevents the coupon from doubling or tripling...does anyone have any experience with this? If you know an HT that does double or triple internet printables that say DO NOT DOUBLE OR TRIPLE, could you PM me the location of the store?

It's not just going to be a particular store: it's going to also depend on the cashier.

I've heard of cashiers at HTs (espically during super doubles/triples) that will go through your coupons before starting to scan them and taking out the ones that say DNT/DND (all coupons, not just internet printables) so that they can manually enter them so they don't double/triple.

I've never had problems using internet printables that say DNT/DND (that start w/a 5).

Now I have heard (and experienced a little) that Lowes Foods is becoming very very strict with coupons. If it says DO NOT DOUBLE, they have been known to pull them out a lot more frequently in the recent past.

Last Super Doubles, my sister ran into a situation at a local HT. They said if the coupon said DND they would not and manually entered all of them in (including those with 5s). Reading the boards online, it appears as if this is getting to be more frequent. I have not had a problem with the HT on Leesville or on 15-501/Martin Luther King Parkway.

I will say that I said my phone number out loud a few triples ago and someone stole my number and uses it at 7 AM at Leesville every 1st day of triples and I cannot do anything about it.....

In answer to the soda above......

Wilco Hess usually alternates between Coke and Pepsi. It is a Coke month and it is 4 12 packs for $11. I stocked up at CVS around Superbowl.....between the Pepsi rebate and rolling the ECBs. I think I got 15 cases of sodas at around $1/piece. I do buy soda at Wilco Hess since I know it is almost always around $2.50 for a 12 pack if I need it and I can't find a good deal.

The 'do not double' 'do not triple' doesn't really apply at HT. They just double/triple anyways and take the hit on the 75 cents or whatever.

First run of triples:

3 Barilla whole grain pastas
1 Barilla piccolini pasta
2 Coffeemate liquid creamers
3 Fruit2o waters
1 Trident layers gum

Be careful with the Oscar Mayer bacon on sale 2/$8 at Harris Teeter. Regular price (shelf-tag) is 3.99. So they raised it a penny to put in on sale

But Oscar Mayer turkey bacon is on sale for $2.50 and with the $.75 coupon tripled, it will be $.25/package. Gonna go grab one (or two) at lunch hopefully.

Bounty Basic is the shittiest paper towel I've ever used. I have a whole 18pk from BJs that you can HAVE if you really want free paper towels. I'd rather use toilet paper to wipe up spills.

This has been a very productive couponing day. Here is what I got between HT and Kroger (hubby used his own VIC card and I gave him coupons to use):

1 Kashi frozen dinner
1 Skinny water
3 Shamrock Farms whole milk
1 Pillsbury cinnamon roll
3 Renuzit adjustables
2 Birdseye frozen peas
3 Birdseye Steamfresh
6 Frank's Red Hot Sauce
1 Quaker True Delights granola bar
2 Quaker True Delights rice cakes
2 Seapak Popcorn Shrimp
2 loaves Sara Lee Soft & Smooth
3 Stonyfield Organic Yogurts
1 Wholly Guacamole
4 Carnation Evaporated Milks
2 French's Yellow Mustards
4 Jimmy Dean's Breakfast Bowls
3 Barilla Piccolini
1 5lb bag Gold Medal All Purpose Flour
7 Boxes Morningstar Farms

Do they stock up again before the triples period ends? Went in tonight hoping to stock up on some honey mustard, but alas, only horseradish was left (I wonder why?). I did get a bunch of Chunky soup for < $1/each.

Also, how do some people manage to get out of there for $0 or the store owing them money when they only give you the triple discount up to the price of the item? Seems like if nothing else I could get the full amount off as long as my total cost was above $0. Am I just going to the wrong Harris Teeter? I apologize if this has been asked before.

the HTs in the area tend to stock up overnight friday/early saturday morning.

I need to keep cows. Milk prices piss me off anyways; I scored at least a little bit today: clearance milk. I got two gallons (skim and whole; hubby likes 2% and I like skim: I mixed the two together, and I'll add water to mine) for less than the sale price of one gallon. I put most of it in the freezer.

HT is almost always overpriced when it comes to milk (usually its around $3.69/gal). Kroger almost always has either a gallon for $2.50 or a half gallon for $1.50.

frequently, yes. Often enough? No. Kroger's sale price on gallons yesterday was $2.69.

Hell, I don't think even Sam's is regularly as low as $2.50 (but since I'm going there today, I'll note the price and report back)

There's a few I'd like too, if you wanna trade.
