lol I was watching last night with a group of friends and the part with the bed in the snow made me think just how weird/worse the show has gotten lately. I guess Sookie was tripping on V? Still don't know how that works since she's had it before and a small vial messed Jason up completely but whatever.

Then the part at the end... werewolves, vampires, a fairy, and witches all fighting in the woods? That's stupid. The second that the witch started doing shit Bill would have ordered his human bodyguards to shoot her.

The point of having human guards there is to create the hilarious pretense that there is some danger of lethal force being applied, but we all know that it's actually impossible for anyone to die. That's why the vampires can move super fast, yet somehow whenever they get close to their victims they slow back down to normal speed instead of just insta-gibbing them.

Why was Jessica not at this showdown?

Bill also spared Holly too. (I just found out the Holly is Julia Louis-Dreyfus' half sister. She played the waitress at Monk's Diner on Seinfeld on a bunch of episodes.)

In the books, Eric isn't the cold badass he is on the show. He is more sensitive and nurturing to Sookie, though not to the point they are portraying him currently this season. And Bill is kind of a dick, even more so than on the show. And after this book, Bill kinda becomes a secondary character and is rarely involved in much.
