Yes, but as of right now he has overruled basically all the defense's objections, and sustained the huge majority if the prosecution's objections.

I want to see what happens when the defense puts on their case. I bet the prosecution will object to every other sentence (happened earlier in the case) and the judge will most likely sustain every one of them.

I do think you need to be alive to put one on however, and the prosecution does have to prove that Nancy Cooper is in fact dead. In a case where the victim has a twin sister this could be argued relevant HOWEVER in this case this is likely just a setup for the DA's closing argument.
