Jeepin, I would expect more out of you than to ask for 2nd date ideas from t-dub. You seem to know what you're doing in the dating world.

what'd you do for the first date? i think dinner and/or movie is acceptable for a 2nd date. don't want to pull out all the best ideas yet until you're more sure of how far it may progress.

If you think she's good enough to go on a second date, then you can start pulling out the good ideas.

First date is when you don't want to blow your load. That's a "feeler date" to make sure she's not fat (I only put this in for online dating) and/or batshit crazy (although that can always rear its ugly head later on).

Once that's out of the way, you can start pulling out the fun or "impress her" dates. It always depends on where you live, but I like dinner, drinks, and comedy shows. Get her tipsy and laughing. Make sure she's not a complete dud. Dinner dates where you're sharing food is always a plus...make it interactive. So sushi and tapas places are always good.

If you there are restaurants where you know the staff and get a hook-up...bitches like that too. Or where you know the wine/drink list and can recommend something good without going for the cheapest bottle on the menu.

I like minor league games (Charlotte has a minor league baseball team, right?). That way the team isn't important enough to where you are focused on a game, but it's something fun going on in the background (in between innings sumo wrestling, mascot racing, etc). Pump a few tall-boys in her and see if she knows a little bit about sports. Or score points by being able to tell her what is actually going on in the game.

That's all I got for now. Dinner and a movie dates are for high school and college...or when you're already in the relationship. I mean, it's a decent fall-back date if you can't find anything going on...but you gotta show a little creativity.

yeah those are all good ideas. comedy show is one i hadn't thought of. i'll keep that in the back of my mind too. I'm also planning to take advantage of the USNWC thursday night River Jam concerts as well.

the first date was just at a bar, first time meeting had a couple beers and talked for a few hours.

tonight we're going to a play putt-putt at a new course near LKN. there has only been like 1 mini-golf course in charlotte for the past 10 years, so i figured it would be something different and apparently this one is pretty nice. I wanted to do something that could still foster natural conversation and a few laughs too. i've been thinking about making a mini-game side wager per hole. like winner of each hole gets to ask a question or something like that. nothing creepy or deep but just something to keep it interesting.


she's a sushi nut, so if she warrants a date 3 i'll probably do that.
