the red sox fucking themselves in the ass is the only thing that makes me feel better right now b/c we're not alone in one of the most epic collapses in sports history. Gut-wrenching, obviously, but there is so much promise for the near future. We'll have the same exact team next year, a full season of bourn, jurrjens and hanson back, and all the rookies got great experience. Get rid of lowe no matter what it takes, get a couple offensive pieces b/c it was worse than abysmal this season. Most important, Fredi better realize not to kill the bullpen next year like he did this year. that is all

Double Post.

Any way saw another article on AJC that Gonzalez is bringing back the whole staff even Parrish.

Also even if the Braves had made the playoffs, they would have been without Hanson, JJ, Gonzalez, obviously Moylan, plus guys like Chipper playing at 80%. No way in hell we would have gone more than 4 games in the NLDS. Still stings though.

Only positive I can take out of this is that because the Braves failed, they did not try and rush back either JJ or Hanson and potentially worsen their injuries and it kept them from over using Medlen which was bound to happen if they made it any further. Plus the big three relievers did not need more innings this season. Still somewhat shocked that we could not manage 1 fucking win in the last 5 games.

There was a story yesterday afternoon on braves.com, Hanson saying he wouldn't be back this season. I mean no shit.

And even though the Braves were depressing as fuck pretty much since the end of Uggla's streak and would have been 3 and out in the playoffs for the reasons that ^ discussed, the day after the season ends is still such a bummer. Something about watching a game every day and then having nothing makes is so different than other sports. I'm so empty inside when the Braves are finished

Pretty weird to read all these people calling for Fredi to get fired. The Braves were postseason regulars for most of Bobby's tenure, but underachieving is pretty much the norm for the Braves.
