haha, shucks.

Hmmmm....Was it the birth control talk, my sense of style, wanting to be Minka's secret santa or combinations of all? I won't try to win respect back, I promise. I have already laid claim to being far less than ideal.

I am so excited about what I got for christmas. 15 months of kickboxing, my Frye boots, and this bag:

Diva won't like the bag at least.

why won't Diva like the bag?

I hate when people make assumptions about me

I actually love the bag...now what?

It being a fossil bag was the reasoning. I thought you might like the style.

I came across this couple-months-old pic of Mindy Kaling today. I just LOVE that dress! And she's rocking it with her figure. Anybody recognize it? The brand or anything? (sorry the pic is so huge, I couldn't find a smaller one)

ladies, help me out. need to pick out a good hair straightener for a christmas gift.

this one is the #1 seller on amazon and on sale for $39.99. is the list price ($299) really that high?
http://www.amazon.com/HSI-Styler-Ceramic-Tourmaline-Straightener/dp/B001MA0QY2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1354647437&sr=8-1&keywords=flattening+iron

or should i stick with the CHI, which has been recommended to me as well ($100)

Update on the coat. I went to Nordstroms at south point and paid way to much for a Hugo Boss coat. I let the hot sales girl talk me into it

^^^^^how often (from what you know) does she use a straightener?

I know people that are everyday/every other day straightener types, and they all just gab about some CHI.... so it seems that is the most preferred, and possibly superior, device for aligning ones hairs.

Punchmonk, it was the whole sperm and egg meet and make a baby thing. Its just patently false and a dangerous mindset in these troubled times on the cusp of rescinding women's rights. Who knows how many times egg and sperm met and didnt make a baby in the 9 months you were trying?

On a fun note, I too bought new boots. Im visiting a friend in boston and got the restock notice just in time for them to get here before I leave. Serendipity. Cross your fingers that my legs arent too fat!

And I got a new coach wristlet for 25% off at the macys one day sale. It.exactly matches some gloves and a scarf I got recently.

Im so glad this color is in, I've always loved it

I lost some weight this year, but bizarrely my breasts increased a couple of cup sizes. I got some new bras this week and the difference it makes is just amazing.

You guise, I found the best shampoo an a conditioner in the world. its called Sukésha and its vegan. My hair is so smooth and shiny and tangle-free. I was getting really frustrated with my hair and ready to chop a few inches, but this stuff has changed my whole outlook. Only $10 a bottle at my friends salon! Im totally going to stock up tomorrow. Ive been using the clear wash.

I'm really sick, and I have a pretty high fever. And fevers make me feel really hot and weird. I'm not a Friends fan or anything, but I'm reminded of this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0RNrvtqTaE4

And, speaking of clothes for teens, Aeropostale is having a 1/2 off clearance sale so you can get a bunch of basics for super cheap...obviously avoiding the ones that say Aeropostale on them and make you look like a middle schooler. Their sizing is pretty generous since kids today are bigger and all that.

hello ladies.

any of you get a Birchbox? I think it's something my wife might like. Curious to see if it's worth the $10/month from anybody that does it.

one of the hair/make up blogs i follow subscribes to birchbox and she always posts the goodies she gets every month. it definitely seems pretty neat - and it seems she gets some cool stuff, especially when birchbox collaborates with a specific brand. do you have to sign up for a year? or is there an option to sign up for a few months and kind of test it out?

There was an article about them in a magazine in the hair place. They reviewed like 6 companies that do a monthly thing. Google!

^^ I went ahead and bought a gift subscription for my wife for 3 months at $30. If she hates it, oh well it was only $30.

They offer them in 3, 6, and 12 months.

Birchbox is pretty good, but my favorite is the Popsugar Must Have box. They send you full size products!

And they all have short term subscription options

They are not as cute/sexy/fashionable as the others in here, but man they are tough and comfortable.
