I am the shit at Halo 2 and 3, ofcourse its not hard to be good at halo but I am unstopable.

And yes lockout was the best and is the best map ever for halo so a remake is required.

naw man guardian is hardly lockout. heck i can always hope, especially after the atrocity of remaking sidewinder, they owe the community something good.

if it weren't for all the danged BR games my BR kill count would be considerably lower... they need to add the MLG playlist already and get that garbage out of all the other playlists, or at least limit it a little more

^^The evidence points very strongly towards Lockout.
1. Xbox.com has confirmed that it's a remake of a small slayer map.
2. bluish color, cold atmosphere
3. littered with fusion cores (lockout has ~15)
4. made up of a series of interconnected platforms
5. Lots of tricky jumps
6. Will be instantly loved by the fanbase
7. MLG community will love it

2-7 are all taken directly from Bungie employees.
(I may have missed some, I couldn't find the original list.)

I know Guardian is the "spiritual successor" of Lockout, but it really plays nothing like Lockout did.

It's so obvious that Guardian is a remake of Lockout that it's unnecessary to even be debating this, even if Guardian is inferior to the original. I really enjoyed that one map in H2 that took place in the city (this map was GINORMOUS), and I really liked the train map.

^^ they remade it in lo2 (tho sadly so late in the game it barely got the attn it deserved, they did a great job with it) so idk if that's a likely candidate or not

Guardian just plain isn't Lockout; i don't think there would have ever been a debate if it was so obvious that they are the same

i liked the map with the train... M-something Station i think, escapes me now. as for the city i've been wanting an urban warfare map for a while now, modern streets and structures

I liked lockout but i am not a big fan of guardian.

Almost i wonder if this is because when i played lockout it was only against a few chumps in multiplayer whereas when i play guardian in Halo 3 it is 10 people packed into a cluster fuck

I think Lockout was one of the most balanced maps ever from all the Halo games. I've probably played way more than half of all my H2 games on Lockout.
