Just got back from my first trip with Triples this week, and I've still got a good 15 coupons to use (mostly frozen stuff) since I only have 1 VIC card and can only do 20 coupons per day.
BC: $69.21 AC: $14.82
also from the previous page:

How does HT handle $1.00 coupons during triples?
On another blog, I'm noticing that people are reporting deals that don't seem possible unless they tripled their $1 off coupons...
For example, some SeaPak items are on sale for $2.47, and SmartSource had a $1/1 coupon on SeaPak shit...and people are reporting that they got a SeaPak item for free as if something special happened to their dollar coupon when it scanned, but shouldn't it it just be a dollar off bringing the item down to $1.47 and not free? 3/28/2010 4:40:20 PM |

I can confirm that the $1 coupons DO NOT TRIPLE during triple coupons. I used 1 of them today and it did not triple. I'm not sure why other places are reporting that it did. 3/28/2010 4:44:20 PM |

I wasn't prepared and had no coupons, printed a few and went to Harris Teeter but nothing was going to work out like I wanted it to so I started to leave until I realized I needed a can of dip. They had my brand with a $.75 off coupon attached that they allowed me to use and triple, so I bought 9 cans (all they had) for the price of 1 ($2.85)! Turned out to be a good day! 3/28/2010 6:40:17 PM |

^They typically have a rule of 3 like coupons per transaction. You got seriously lucky hombre
Also, FU HT. FFFFUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!
They took it upon themselves to link my card to my husband's card since we have the same address. I have never noticed this because I never tried to use more than 20 coupons in a day, so I had no reason to use my VIC and my husband's VIC in the same day. But I had so many coupons for frozen veggies that I decided to take hubby's card and use up the rest of my coupons tonight. 1 of them tripled (since apparently I only used 19 q's earlier on my card) and after that nothing was doubling/tripling. The lady told me it was 1 card per household and that our cards must be linked. She looked at me like I was a dumbass, and I felt bad making them reshelve all the frozen stuff I had, so I bit the bullet and paid [almost] full price after 19 face-value coupons. $66 (Of course, $20 of that was beer, but still.....)

If pressed for "old" account, explain you signed up as a freshman in the dorms, lost your card between then and now, and simply signed up for a new one.
If the number you choose doesn't work, explain it's been a loooooong time since you had that number, and can you try again 3/29/2010 8:41:56 AM |

They aren't using the $1 off coupon. There is a $.75/1 coupon in All You magazine (you can buy it at Walmart) but it was from last month's magazine so don't run out and buy the magazine. So when the .75 coupon is tripled, it costs you $.22 for the Seapak.3/29/2010 9:02:10 AM |

the $.60 Lipton tea coupon can be used on the 16 count boxes (priced at $1.35) to get them free.
The small bottles of Wishbone dressing are $1.99 so free after the $.75 coupon
And Hellman's mayo 30 fl oz are BOGO free. Mine was $4.95 minus the BOGO free sale (-$2.48)=$2.47 -.60/1 coupon tripled= $.67/jar 3/29/2010 2:20:11 PM |

Sunday's paper had coupons for $2/2 boxes of Kellogg's Frosted Mini Wheats Little Bites and $1/1 box of Kellogg's Frosted Mini Wheats Little Bites.
That particular cereal is $3.49 BOGO at HT...so that's three boxes for $5.25. Subtract the $2/2 and $1/1 coupons, and it's three boxes for $2.25 (.75/each)...
Plus, when you buy 3-4 boxes of Kellogg's cereal, you get a Catalina coupon at check-out for a free gallon of milk!
So...three boxes of sweet dessert cereal and a gallon of milk for only two dollars and twenty-five cents!

Haha, I have tried gluten free beer. Red Bridge. That stuff is pure nasty! Even the boy didn't like it, and he will drink pretty much anything as long as you call it beer. He could barely finish one, I couldn't get down more than 2 sips. If you ever have gluten free friends over for drinks spend the money on liquor instead.
I spent about $9 at HT last night for about $40 worth of stuff, but I got frozen fruit, almond milk, pretzels for the boy, free hummus (only found about it the last day of triples or I would have posted here), thai noodles, and wet ones (plus some McCormick to bring the total down after the catalina deal). It's better to get the cheap stuff I want instead of the freebies that'll go to waste here just to make the totals look more impressive. 3/31/2010 8:41:40 AM |

Here's a question. Why do some coupons add a "do not double" clause? I believe when a store opts to double or triple a coupon, the extra money off of the item comes out of the store's pocket, not the manufacturer. The manufacturer is only on the hook for the value of the coupon, so why disallow doubling? 3/31/2010 12:09:18 PM |

Because it can cheaper the brand's image. Its the same way certain products in other retail stores are never allowed to be discounted, or discounted extremely limited.
However, no stores that I have ever visited give a damn about 'do not double' 3/31/2010 2:43:29 PM |

Cheap flour @ Lowes Food. Gold Medal Flour 5lb bags are BOGO free. Buy one and it is ~$1.45/bag. The ones in my store had $.55 peelies on them making them $.35/bag.
Gold Medal is also on sale @ HT for 2/$3. So $1.50/bag. I believe the peelies are also on bags @HT. So $.40/bag. Might be a better deal @ HT if you need to stock up since @ Lowes they are BOGO free and they only allow one coupon for BOGO. 3/31/2010 2:51:50 PM |

Coupons that say Do Not Double, but the barcode starts with a 5 will usually automatically double as long as they abide by the store guidelines (such as price etc), unless a cashier intervenes.
Coupons that start with a 9 will NOT double. 4/1/2010 10:01:32 AM |

This week only at Target (sale might end tomorrow), Airwick Freshmatic Ultra I-Motions are $6. There is a $5 insert coupon available as well as a $1 Target coupon @ http://www.coupons.target.com
to get the Freshmatic Target coupon to appear, you need to enter your zip code and it should be under "household" category. It will be the last coupon on the first page of the household category.
so use both the $5 manufacturer's coupon and the $1 Target coupon and get it free.
It worked perfectly for me! Or pay $1 if you don't have the Target coupon., 4/2/2010 1:36:31 PM |

good deal on schick intuition razors at Target
they are on sale for $6.99. If you buy 2, you get a $5 Target giftcard. Use two of the $4 coupons (don't know when the insert came out but they expire 4/11/10. So buy 2 @ $6.99=$13.98. Use 2 $4 coupons=$5.98. Get $5 gift card back. Makes it $.98 for two razors.
These are the only razors I use. I love them to death. For some reason I only had 2 coupons. Wish I had more so that I could stock up. $.49 for a Schick Intuition razor is awesome!

I don't think this is really a great coupon deal but anyway...
Lowes Foods has Palermo's frozen pizzas at buy 2 (at 6.99/piece) and get 3 free. Plus, there was a coupon for a dollar off any one Palermo's pizza.
So you can get five pizzas for thirteen bucks ($2.60/piece), which seems great to me since they're normally like seven dollars/piece or five dollars/piece on sale.
I had two coupons so I bought ten.
(Oh, man, I'm reading where other people doubled up their coupons on the purchase of five, which brings them to $2.40/piece. I thought you could only use one coupon on a BOGO deal...maybe it's different for a B2G3, after all, you are technically buying 2... )
I also saw that Lowe's had one of the new Orville Red. popcorn flavors (cheddar cheese) available. There's a coupon for .75 off the cheddar cheese or the nacho cheese flavor so I went ahead and used one on a box. Anyway, heads up, it wasn't spectacular so save those coupons until you get it for less than five cents or some shit...five cents is all it's worth.
