Man, Schilling ALMOST costs them the game. Man, I think we should just make Timlin the closer, and start Schilling. 7/27/2005 12:05:07 AM |

I like the position that the Red Sox are in. 5 1/2 games up in the AL East. They need to keep this up, and get Schilling worked back into the rotation. 8/11/2005 11:38:42 AM |

Haha, I was playing at the Bellagio in Vegas a couple weeks ago and a Red Sox game came on at 10am and I was like, "What the fuck?!?"
I wonder how many times today's game will be interrupted with up-to-the-minute-TO-news. 8/17/2005 6:49:44 AM |

Unfortunately, my apartment faces the wrong way to get DirectTV, so I missed the crazy 10th last night.
So how many games did Boston go before going to extra innings this year? I seem to remember watching a game where the commentators said the Sox had set a new MLB record for most games w/o extra innings to start the season (like 60+) 8/17/2005 12:02:24 PM |

Apparently the ESPN.com writers forgot that Boston was playing on the West Coast. Lead stays at 4 games...good to see them keeping up the high level of accuracy we have come to love them for.8/20/2005 2:35:27 AM |

Schilling pitches tonight, hopefully he looks a little better.
on a side note it seems the Yanks have found a new love. Picking up former Red Sox who got placed on assignment because they were passed there prime
first they pick up Alan Embree who has 0 movement on any of his pitches and today they are going to pick up Mark Bellhorn or as I like to call him K-Horn since he swings at anything. 8/30/2005 11:02:48 AM |

hehe the yanks got bellhorn. it's either a strikeout, walk, or extra base hit. i don't think any sox players were sad to see him go 8/30/2005 10:09:53 PM |

The realization just hit me this morning that the Yankees are pretty much tied and the loser might not make the playoffs Jesus, this is going to be stressful having the Mets fall out of out and now the Sox possibly in trouble.
Some nervous days coming up here.. 9/20/2005 8:40:31 AM |
BigPapa All American 4727 Posts user info edit post |
yeah its worrying me a lot too, our pitching has been streaky, we lose to the D-Rays with Boomer starting and now the Yanks beat a team that has our number(who we play starting Friday) due to walkoff homer by Bubba Fucking Crosby. I am really rooting for a ChiSox collapse because i don't think the Indians are going to collapse. 9/20/2005 9:50:31 AM |

My guess (and fitting for the Yankees and the Redsox) is that they will end the season tie and will have to do a playoff to see who gets in the playoffs.....it's only fitting that with these two teams history that is the way that it goes down....Having said that I will say that I would rather the Yanks win it out right....They have already flipped a coin and the playoff game would be in Yankee Stadium if needed !! Oh.... and anybody but the mets !!! 9/20/2005 10:48:43 AM |
NyM410 J-E-T-S 50085 Posts user info edit post |
Yuck. It's bad enough to not be in first place anymore. But guys like Matt fucking Lawton and Bubba Crosby are doing it? What the hell??? Oh well. Mets are done so I guess I won't split my game watching anymore. Off day today but I'll be up in Baltimore for a few games this weekend just like last year.
I just hope that the Yankees lose tonight so it's a tie. Go O's [tonight]!
this always makes me feel better

Just got back from Fenway South in Baltimore. The ENTIRE upper deck was Sox fans. It was like a home playoff game with the noise. I loved chanting and screaming in line for the bathroom when an actual home team fan was seen (rare though)!

Hey ParkSecurity - when they lose Monday night.....and they will. are you going to consider yourself a Jinx to the Redsux, and are you going to blame yourself when the Yankees win the east ? Just wondering ? 9/25/2005 10:55:11 PM |

I was just wondering what you guys thought of the whole Theo Epstein thing.
Guy helps bring you your first title in nine decades and then wants to be paid for it and Lucchino is stiffing him.
Or is Epstein asking for too much?
What's your take? 10/27/2005 10:21:46 AM |

Boston Globe's story. here's the good parts:
Quote : | "Paul Konerko? Brian Giles? Forget about it. Manny Ramirez? As good as gone. Johnny Damon? I doubt it. With Theo Epstein gone, the day-to-day operations of this ballclub are in flux, at the time of the year when they need to be at their most active. By the time the Red Sox get a general manager in place willing to work under Lucchino, Boston will be lucky to get its hands on Kevin Millar again. " |
Peace Manny. Peace Damon. Peace Millar and Mueller.
Peace out Boston.
Quote : | "The Red Sox are no longer the local baseball team. The Olde Towne Team no more. They are a monster business, attaching itself to any and every money-making opportunity that comes its way." |
Sound like another team anyone knows? HAHAHAHAH They've become what they where known to hate.
Quote : | "Theo Epstein is gone, and the Red Sox are much worse off for it.
I’m sorry, I meant the Red Sox fans. The Red Sox are probably embroiled too deeply in their latest multi-million dollar development plan to really care about it all that much. " |
Peace son.11/1/2005 2:40:34 PM |
