Speaking of opening the offense I bet we see Blackman going out for passes a lot more. From the sounds of it he may be the fastest player on the team. What better way to spread that running back talent around....

Yeah, but there are also people who grow up hating the local interests.

What's up with Spikes? Statefans said that he took an unofficial this weekend, anything more to it than that?

I know one of the guys on the Louisville messageboards.

What do you expect from them? Its a UL msgboard. Its not like people on the NC State messageboards don't talk shit and look stupid.

With that being said, I want to fly up there and slap the shit out of that one bozo who equates NCSU football with Kentucky football. Anyone with a fucking brain in their head knows that NCSU >>>>> UofL as far as a football program historically.

Something like eight or nine straight years we went to a bowl game during the Sheridan and O'Cain's first years. They have that same number in the school's history.

new article on ESPN Insiders about Justin Burke...nothing new really

Justin Burke
Position: Quarterback
Height: 6-foot-1
Weight: 195 pounds
Hometown: Lexington, Ky.
School: Lexington Catholic High School
Verbal: N.C. State
Grade: 7.0
Scouts, Inc. Grading System
Scouts, Inc. grades on a scale of 4.0 to 9.0. Check out the grading scale and how Scouts, Inc. evaluated three prospects from the Class of 2005. Complete details

Scouts, Inc. Player Report: Burke is an accurate, efficient passer that has been extremely productive and accurate throughout his career. Has a quick release and does a good job of seeing the whole field and he makes sound pre-snap reads. Shows good timing and touch on short and intermediate routes. Shows the ability to consistently find his "hot" receiver and beat the blitz. Has good touch on the deep ball and can drop the ball in over coverage. He does not possess an elite arm, but he shows adequate velocity and he gets rid of the ball quickly and avoids unnecessary hits in the pocket. Can beat the rush with his release. Has quick feet, shows good pocket awareness and will buy some extra chances within the pocket. He is an excellent passer on the run especially to his right side. Is a mature, intelligent leader and is a polished passer at this level. He has some of the intangibles that you can't coach and has a natural feel for the game. He is an excellent prospect for a "spread" offense and has operated in a sound offensive scheme at the high school level. However, he does not have ideal height and may struggle to find throwing lanes at times as a result. He should gain some needed bulk once he enters college and look for his arm strength to improve as well.

josh adams opens his season tomorrow night at home against Broughton. come out and show some wolfpack support for josh. we need this guy. gametime is 7:00 in Cary, gates open at 6:00. there is a lot of construction going on at CHS right now so additional parking has been opened but it is quite a walk from some spots. see you there

Adams rushed for 202yds last night on 19carries. 2 TDs. He had about 200yds and a couple more TDs (no lie) called back on penalties. Cary beat Broughton 42-16. Not a bad night for Adams considering he had 11 guys on him the whole time. Cary's QB passed well and the backup RB ran well to go along with Josh.

^I'm sorry, but i dont know if we really need him that bad, im all for hometown products, but we will have 4 backs next year fighting for time, 2 juniors, and 2 sophs, I think were gonna be hard pressed to land another RB.

Think of him more as a Tramain Hall replacement than a pure RB.

But he says he does want a shot at RB before being switched anywhere. Look at what Jamelle Eugene is doing this pre-season for evidence that we can keep that promise if we make it.

He would be given his shot at RB, and damnit.... the guy is going to break the rushing records in NC this year. When Andre Brown was a senior, Josh was a sophomore and leading him in yards before he tore knee cartilage in the 6th week. When Toney Baker was a senior and Josh was a junior, Josh and Toney were neck and neck going into the last couple weeks of the regular season where Toney pulled away a little. He is very good. But he will be our next Tramain Hall if we could get him in here.

Go check him out, he is unreal to watch.

tebow needs to show off that arm, i mean running over high school defenses isn't really indicative of D-1 defenses

it was caused by the ground, but remember this is "high school" football

not of D-1, sure, but this is a top 5 high school team in the country

he will settle in, he made a nice third down pass on the last drive, his boy just dropped it

Ellis (#81) from Nease is a nice lookin white WR, bring his ass in here. We've offered him.

^i have heard that we have "offered", but he might be a guy that we would not quite let commit yet, i am not sure how you tell a kid that, but this is just what i have heard

it is kinda like a soft offer, or an offer with restrictions

better than lettin em all sign up, then sayin "no thank you" like they do over there in chapel hell

i did think he looked good in the game today though

number 1 recruit in the country Rolle just signed with FSU, I was reading the miami boards and it just made me laugh, they talked about how dirty FSU was, and how bad their image was (are these guys serious?)

just good old fashioned sour grapes

freshman never really contribute on the o-line in D1 football

hopefully next year, and the year after that we will see the fruits of our great o-line recruits from last year

eh, I don't think we have coaches capable of developing players. They're either super when they get here or they flop. SHIT. But yeah I want to get excited too about some bad ass o-line after the shit they are displaying this year.
